> 3 dayThis was purchased to be placed near the bathroom shower. It is safe, easy grab area to be used while dressing or undressing. It provides stability and security. It was easy to install on one vertical wall stud. The mounting flange for this unit made that possible and easy. With the varied positions of the holes, I was able to drill three 2-inch screws into one stud at both the upper and lower mounting piece. The screws toward the outside of the stud are angled slightly to allow them to really bite into the more central part of the stud. The cap piece covered the screw heads in spite of being angled. With 6 screws into the one stud, the grab bar is rock solid and no wobble. Nothing will cause this to fail ( I hope} Although this was added as a basic dressing aid, within 3 months a member had a problem with the onset of vertigo and it was definitely beneficial to have this in place. Another was then installed I in the toilet area to provide assistance going from a standing to a seated position and back to a standing position. I am considering another to be installed near the guest bedroom shower. The screws are heavy duty stainless and excellent. I did have some problem screwing them down as my screwing bit was a little worn. You really need to predrill the holes into the stud just a tad smaller than the diameter of the screws. The screws need to bite into the wood, so they do not pull out. If you have problems putting the screws into your pre-drilled holes in the stud, back-out the screw and apply dish detergent liquid on the threads or rub a bar of soap over the thread. It lubricates the threads. and may be enough to assist getting the screw into position. The screws are a larger diameter, and my best guess is a size 10. As I said these are heavy duty babes. Although I did cam-out while putting in the screw, the screw head was not damaged. Good screws! The price for the 12 inch grab bar was great, less than 14 bucks. Since both ends of this grab bar were placed in one vertical stud, I only used screws. This unit does not come with the heavy duty securemount that is used for support when the ends are placed into drywall. The drywall mount must be purchased separately. If you mount horizontally, I would suggest placing one end into a stud. The other could be supported with a securemount into the drywall. That saves you the price of one securemount which costs a little over $11,

> 3 dayThe white color is nice. It was easy to install with the right tools (stud finder, electric drill/screwdriver, level). Great product for the discounted price that I paid.

> 3 dayI needed something that helped my elderly mom step over the side of bathtub safely and securely. Due to fiberglass shower enclosure, I chose glacier white, due to the size of moms hands the smaller diameter Bar was perfect. We are very satisfied customers, if moms happy, so am I.

> 3 dayI used the grab bar in tub/shower. The finish and quality of the product is excellent and nicely matches existing Moen polished brass hardware in the bathroom. Item was attached to ceramic tile wall, backed by plaster and concrete board. I found the supplied 2 screws a bit short for attaching to wood wall studs, so I went to 3 #10 screws. I would highly recommend using a 3/16 carbide tip drill for a ceramic tile application ...as opposed to the recommended 1/8 drill size which is too small. Only reason for not giving this product a 5-star rating is the Escutcheon Ring ...when pressed against the wall, it loosely fits. The problem is easily remedied by applying a small amount of clear silicon caulk behind the top 1/2 backside of the escutcheon. Overall, I highly recommend the product ... worth the cost.

> 3 dayHigh quality grab bar and nice peened finish on grab area. The screws supplied, while long enough to penetrate 1/2 inch drywall and into studs or 2 x blocking in wall, have a phillips head. There is no possible way to drive the screw into the wood studs because a phillips bit will just cam out of the screw head. I tried pre-drilling the hole (not too big of diameter) to help and put some soap on the screw threads. But still, cam out occurred before I could get the screw all the way in. I ditched the supplied screws and used star head drive deck screws with a small washer under the head (because the slot in the flange was maybe a little wide for those type of flat head screws.) Using a cordless drill and a star bit, I had no issues driving the screws home. Be careful not drive it too far in so as to crush the drywall! My recommendation to Moen is to get a little wiser about the type of screws provided with these. Changing the screw type wouldnt cost hardly anything more. The installers would be much appreciative of this

> 3 dayThis is a wonderful product. It is just the right length to hit the studs. It was easy to install. It looks great. I weigh 235 pounds and put my full weight on both bars, and these bars remained solid and secure. My mom, who is now in her 90’s loves it! What is not to like?

> 3 dayPurchased this for our combo tub/shower. Already had 2 Grab bars installed, and decided to add a 3rd to back area of tub. Wished we had purchased the first 2 with the peening, as they are smooth metal. The textured grab bar make quite a difference. Mown quality didn’t disappoint!

> 3 dayInstalled on bathroom wall. Love their sturdiness. It is being used as a towel rack as well as a week as a grab bar.
