> 3 dayI have fallen twice, and now I have to use old-folks remedies. This isn’t the prettiest grab-bar on the internet, but it is very strong, supporting my weight (235lb) easily. One of my falls set off my Apple Watch, so this bar is a necessity. The bar comes with two longish wood screws per connection. My wife had me use three, so I figure it will last as long as the wall now.

> 3 dayInstalled this along with a 12 inch bar in a newly remodeled bathroom for my elderly mother. It is nice because it does not make the entire bathroom look like a nursing facilitys industrial-strength bathroom. The white blends well with the overall bathroom and the hidden screws are nice as well. Easy to install with just a drill with a masonry bit (installed into tile).

Greater than one weekMoen products are always good quality - this grab bar is sturdy, and doesnt look out of place in our home decor.

> 3 dayI got this for my mothers walk in shower. It is very sturdy and a nice looking, dull-finish white. Matched the shower very well. She didnt want the typical hospital stainless steel look, hence, the choice of white. Had some difficulty with studs not being where I needed them, and I didnt want to rely on the non-stud mounts for something as important as preventing a slip. Had access to the back of the wall and put in a couple of studs to secure the grab bar. Only ran into two small problems. First, the screws they provide are HORRIBLE. They strip easily. Seriously...take the time to get some better screws. Mark your holes and drill pilot holes because (here comes the second problem) if you use a drill to put the screws in, you might get too close to the bar and the drill will scratch the surface of the grab bar (like I did.) I couldnt be happier with the product though. And my 90 year old mother, who said she didnt need a grab bar, now says she has gotten very used to holding on to it while getting in and out.

> 3 dayI’ve used this before, but had to return this one. Good quality, and short for use in places where the person just needs a small grab bar to get them up off the toilet. It doesn’t have a textured surface, however, so I always mount them at an angle.

> 3 dayNice & sturdy grab bar!! Moen is the best one IMHO, you pay a few dollars more but this are perfect for an ADA area. I give this bar a 4 star b/c they are VERY slick when wet. VERY. I applied shower non-slip stickers along mine & that worked perfect. These are nice beefy bars, not like the ones sold on EBay that are small & thin.

> 3 dayUpdate 7/28: received replacement 12 in its own box, arrived in perfect condition. Thank you Remodeling for elderly access. Wanted 2 vertical placement at either end of shower and 1 horizontal against long wall. I ordered two Model #: R8712W 12 and one Model #: R8716W 16 Glacier color (White). These sizes were impossible to find in-store, so took a chance to order on Amazon. The color for both sizes were a perfect match to a store-bought 18 Moen Glacier of a different Model #: LR8918W. Both models are exactly the same design/color except the LR89 series has a slightly larger diameter (fatter) grab bar. I like the look of the cheaper R87 series. Both the 12 & 16 came in plastic bags placed in an over-sized Amazon box so 1 of my 12 arrived with the white enamel scratched on both the flange cover and the bar. Damage likely occurred during packaging or bouncing around while shipping. I have requested replacement. The damage to the 16 was only on the flange cover under the wrapping and almost looks like a manufacture error as the flange cover is a bit deformed in shape and wont sit flush-however being a Moen product I have no doubt that Moen would send a replacement flange for free. For shower/bath I only use Moen and they have always (15yrs) honored their lifetime warranties. I returned the 16 as the two 12 I ordered appear perfect for intended use. I am waiting for a 18 and 24 to arrive from a local store to check that the color/design is the same as those purchased from Amazon a decide which size is better. Originally I was looking at Chrome in the Moen Designer Elegance and Moen Align series, but the bars are so big and so shiny that it was a bit of an eyesore. Also tried Delta Tempra, which actually was the least large of the bunch (not by much) am hoping the white bars are a bit more low profile with the intended white tile in shower. Will update with the color match/style consistency with the locally purchased Moen grab bars of the same model.
