> 3 dayFirst, you must locate two studs to install securely and for safety. If you cannot locate then hire a professional. After locating the studs, i applied masking tape on the wall so I could layout the holes. Unit is 18 inches but studs were 12 in apart, so I installed at an angle. You can install vertically if desired onto one stud. I have tile, so I patiently but firmly drilled holes big enough that the screw would fit through because I did not want to crack the tile when tightening.i drilled six holes, stopping after each one to check the next hole location before drilling the next. My rating is 4 stars because the polished brass color is close to a 14k gold color. It does not look bad, but the color is not the same as the polished brass fixtures throughout the bath.

> 3 dayI have wanted one of these in our shower for so long. It only takes one episode of feeling weak or a slip of the foot to turn into a major emergency. Having this grab bar gives a sense of steadiness and safety, especially if you are also using a shower seat. I cant take credit for the installation, however, I know it took less than 30 minutes using the screws. I love that it was available in different sizes and colors/finishes. We chose the white and it fits right in with our white tub and shower curtain. I also purchased the 9 inch grab bar and positioned it so you can hold onto it getting in and out of the tub.

Greater than one weekI had been searching for a gold handicap bar for a bathroom I just did over to match all fixtures. This one was exactly what I wanted and works perfectly where its placed & doesnt show when you walk in room. Only visible when you use the toilet. If properly installed it will work perfectly.

> 3 dayI remodeled a bathroom since my elderly mother was going to move in. This safety bar gave her something to grab onto when she first steps into the shower. I put a 12-inch grab bar to hold onto to step over the curb and a larger bar in the shower area. These are easy to install and are unobtrusive and do not make the shower look like an industrial care facility like so many of the stainless steel ones do. So think of your Granny... when she is nekkid, she will want a solid 12-inches of something firm to hold on to.

> 3 dayThis is a wonderful product. It is just the right length to hit the studs. It was easy to install. It looks great. I weigh 235 pounds and put my full weight on both bars, and these bars remained solid and secure. My mom, who is now in her 90’s loves it! What is not to like?
