> 3 dayThe brightness factor on the Hue units is significantly better than other competitors in my opinion. These work in any lamps, and tie into the existing Hue system in the room with no fuss via the app. One thing of note is that the pre-built programs from Phillips will distribute their color palette across the rooms total number of fixtures so you may end up with a single-color on each fixture in noticeable ways but this can be overcome by dialing in your settings within the app. Definitely worth the effort (very minimal btw) because these lights add a whole other dimension to the aesthetic of any room.

> 3 dayThe bulbs are excellent and are worth every penny, in my opinion. They are super bright and work extremely well with my google home. A hub is a must if you want reliable, responsive command driven lights. I did have a little mix up with customer service, but after a short conversation, the company made it right by keeping their end of the bargain. I would highly recommend this product and company.

19-11-2024I used four of these bulbs to replace the the three-way light bulbs in the the living room. Before the replacement, the three-way bulbs were turned on and off with an Amazon Alexa wall plug. I had about 10 wall plugs throughout my home, and while the Amazon wall devices works best, wall plugs switches are erratic and not the best solution. First, there the messy extension cords, and second, they have no dimmer function. The 60W equivalent Hue light works great, but 60W is not always bright enough. The 100W equivalent makes a big difference in luminescence. Since they are dimmable, for all intents and purposes, they are perhaps 10-ways, since one can say Alexa set living room to 90% or 80%, etc. While Hue does not have a 150W equivalent function of the three way bulbs, 100W is adequate . Though, if Hue develops a 150W equivalent, I might get a few of them. Ive never had a problem with a Hue bulb, and when the budget can afford it, Ill change-out the six remaining wall switches with 60W or 100W equivalent Hue bulbs.

> 3 dayOk, so I tried to use these (60w) in place of a three way bulb. Unsurprisingly, they were way too dim. I put them in another spot where we had regular 60w LED replacement bulbs and they were a little bit dimmer than the other standard 60w LED bulbs. We kept them because we loved the cool factor of being able to change the colors. Later we purchased the 100w version to put in place of the 3 way bulbs and they worked like a charm. The whites and colors are all super bright. Love them.

> 3 dayPhilips Hue is always too expensive however, I still find myself buying their bulbs. If you already have a few of their products, it cant hurt to buy a few more. the quality is there but the price is just a bit too high.

> 3 dayNOTE: The review is mainly about the White Dimmable model. I own several Philips Hue products and they have been great over the years. Recently I needed something brighter than the A19 800-lumen White and Color Ambience bulbs, so I bought one of these White Dimmable 1600-lumen A21 versions. However be warned - the light coming from the White DImmable version is NOT WHITE AT ALL! The color at 100% is almost like bright sunlight, where there is still yellow in the light itself. I dont know how they can put white on the box when this isnt white at all, its not even a warm white - if you dim this bulb to 50% it literally is just yellow light. Instead, if youre looking for actual white light, make sure to by the version of this A21 that says White Ambience; this version lets you adjust the color temp of the bulb from warm white to cool white. I ended up buying the White Ambience version and its exactly what I was looking for - brighter, white light. Unfortunately, it costs more than double to get actual white light from these A21 bulbs, which is why I can only give these versions 3 stars.

> 3 dayThis bulb puts out plenty of light. Once you get it properly set up, it works great with Alexa. It took us multiple tries in multiple light fixtures to actually get it to properly pair with Alexa, which was annoying, but not the end of the world.
