I have a small room with no ceiling light. I tried and tried different lights/lamps etc… I didn’t want to spend a ton of money but I found this on sale! It works amazing, it’s nice because I can turn it off with my Alexa instead of having to unplug it and it’s nice to wake up to a relaxing light without feeling overwhelmed.

Got everything set up immediately upon arrival and was ecstatic with how easy the “connect to your account before shipping” or whatever it’s called worked. The next day, the pet sitter turned off the staged lighting and both bulbs disconnected. 1/2 bulbs easily reconnected back to Alexa when we came home but let me tell you THE STRUGGLE WAS REAL for bulb #2. It’s been 3 days, numerous expletives, and google was basically worthless since everything required the hub (that this doesn’t come with). Finally, I clicked something that did something and I came to the land that told me to download the Philips Hue app, create an account, link the bi-I mean bulb to the app, then 1-2-3 Alexa connected. We’ll see how long this lasts and if the fix can fix again with my touchy finger child who LOVE messing with things. The bulbs are bulbs that bulb lol. Not too white that’ll make you feel insane but those that like to stare at the sun will be sad.

these lights are an integral part of my smart home...millions of color options, voice controlled with my google devices and away from home control...the lighting hub saves space on my wifi because 16 lights can be connected as one device...even my senior mother says she doesnt know how she ever got by without them...definitely the wise choice for your smart home...

I am loving this light, the control is great, install was super simple, And I love the sunrise feature. Wakes me in the morning but I wish it started a little dimmer it is super bright

These bulbs were a little tricky to set up in the Hue app using Bluetooth, mostly due to an unstable Bluetooth connection. The app offers lots of control, once you figure out how it works. But for the life of me, I couldnt make it connect to my Google Home speaker. Google tech support knew a lot and spent lots of time on the phone with me, but we couldnt solve it. Phillips tech support was pretty close to useless. Finally, I figured out that theres a setting in the Hue app that makes the bulb discoverable. Id tell you where it is, but I cant find it again. Anyway, once I made it discoverable, the Google Home app found it right away and connected it by Bluetooth to my speaker. It seemed pretty good for the first day. . Over time, I came to understand that my Bluetooth connections were extremely unstable, both between my phone and the bulbs and between the Google Home speaker and the bulbs. Every time a bulb lost a connection, it dimmed and then came back on. It gets old and annoying right away. After a day of this nonsense, my Google speaker lost its grip and never succeeded in doing anything with either of the bulbs. After a couple of days, I gave up and ordered a pair of GE Cync bulbs, which set up without a hitch and seem to be working great at a fraction of the cost. . I hear good things from others about these Phillips Hue bulbs when connected through a switch. But in my experience, these arent good for Bluetooth only.

I purchased used product from Amazon Warehouse. The packaging was damaged and taped back together with this Amazon sticker. I wish bought it new from Amazon.com. I still love Philips Hue stuff

Replaced my early gen 40W-60W lamps with these and now I can see in my bedroom. Probably not great for the wife as now she can get a good look at me. This might have been a huge mistake on my part. Still, at least now I can see if my shoes match.
