> 3 dayI have a small room with no ceiling light. I tried and tried different lights/lamps etc… I didn’t want to spend a ton of money but I found this on sale! It works amazing, it’s nice because I can turn it off with my Alexa instead of having to unplug it and it’s nice to wake up to a relaxing light without feeling overwhelmed.

> 3 dayNot at all UNLESS, you spend another $60 for the hub. I had purchased three, thats all I needed. I thought they would work with Amazon Alexa, it said so, but it doesnt. I watch a Youtube where one woman figure out a way, but as usual, the Alexa program she was using didnt match mine and it didnt work. I cant return them so Im stuck. There are dozen of other choices, cheaper and the company doesnt tag you for more money to use on Alexa.

> 3 dayI want to save people hours of their life theyll never get back trying to connect this lightbulb to Alexa or Google Assistant (GA) without the use of any hub at all. Just move on and dont try it. I want to first state that this product does correctly state that Alexa and Google Assistant (GA) are supported with the use of hubs; however, there is plenty of literature on search engines that give procedures for controlling this lightbulb with GA on an Android phone WITHOUT a hub (hence having voice activated controlled of the hue). This information is out-of-date. Through triage of various Amazon reviews, it appears controlling a Phillips hue lightbulb with GA through a Bluetooth connection was possible up until sometime in 2021. There are several reviews of successful operation in 2020. Then in 2021, a reviewer stated that a previously working GA-hue pairing stopped working. Subsequently, all reviewers state this functionality is no longer achievable. I gave three stars because, although the hue worked nicely through the hue app with Bluetooth, Phillips should have created a new product page, with clear disclaimer that hub(s) are required, and removed all instructions for hub-less GA-hue operation when that functionality ceased to exist.

Greater than one weekPerfect for all times of the days. Very easy to use through the app. But sometimes the app has a hard time connecting to the light. You can change the intensity of the light but not the color.

> 3 dayThese are so worth it. They are pricey, but they work perfectly with Alexa, no third party app which is a big deal if youve ever had to deal with a third party app for your lights. The fact I can not only turn on my lights with my voice, coming home at night its the best cause I dont have to leave on any lights and as soon as I open the door I say to Alexa, Alexa its dark in here and the one light I set up for that saying turns on right by the door. I use the color to attract the kids when they are in their rooms. Its better then yelling across the house. I can also use the Alexa echos as intercoms but the light thing is the easiest to do and it doesnt stop my music on my echo. If you can budget for these instead of the cheapos that require that third party app, I would suggest it. If not, those cheapos, which I have one thats just whites, warm white to cool white, and it works just fine, but if given the choice, I would go with the Philips Hue brand.

> 3 dayI bought two of these to add to the ones I already had. I dont do anything fancy, basically use them on a timed schedule. On before sunset and off at sunrise. Once you have the Hue bridge, then this is the cheapest remote control lighting solution. The other plus is that I do not want another account on the cloud, like almost all the other solutions, that can be hacked into. The plan was to add these to my outdoor lamp fixtures. I had already set up my time schedule for the bulbs I already had. To make things easy, I plugged each one into a lamp socket indoors, then added them using their serial number and the Hue bridge found them in seconds. I added them to the existing scene, tested to see if the would turn on and off and after that I went outdoors to screw them into the outdoor lamp sockets. The whole procedure took less than 10 minutes. Could not be happier. The price now is almost half of what they used to cost, another plus.

> 3 dayI love these lights. Used them to replace my standard white Phillips hue lights. I love them and Im getting more. Setup has also become way easier with the newer generation. I waited to install them because I remembered last time it took me about 45 minutes to setup and this time it took all of 10. I really cant wait to get more. I dont use Alexa, I use Google home and the integration with that system is also flawless.
