> 3 dayMom has trouble with bright lights in her apartment- gets migraines easily from bright lights. This bulb helps her control her environment to make her as comfortable as possible. I had to guide her through the initial setup, but now she’s able to use the app to her needs. Much better app experience than the GE CYNC.

> 3 dayThe brightness factor on the Hue units is significantly better than other competitors in my opinion. These work in any lamps, and tie into the existing Hue system in the room with no fuss via the app. One thing of note is that the pre-built programs from Phillips will distribute their color palette across the rooms total number of fixtures so you may end up with a single-color on each fixture in noticeable ways but this can be overcome by dialing in your settings within the app. Definitely worth the effort (very minimal btw) because these lights add a whole other dimension to the aesthetic of any room.

23-11-2024I read all the reviews after I already purchased these. I got a great deal on them. Well after reading reviews it made me decide to cancel my order. I was too late to cancel. When they came today I came back and read reviews other peoples trouble shooting guides etc. well the only thing I did was put the two bulbs where I wanted. Turned them on. Then I asked my echo dot 3rd generation to find new devices! It was that easy. One is call first light, the other is called 2nd light. They are both in my living room so I also grouped them together where I can just say turn living room lights on or off. I also can say turn on Light one or two. I can say dim to 50% and it dims them to whatever % I choose. Dry easy to install! I didnt download any new apps either. I do have the Alexa app on my phone which I can control them from the Alexa app too!! Now Im glad I didnt get the order canceled in time!! Oh and someone else said the instructions that came with them is worthless so I didnt even read that.

> 3 dayFinally decided to purchase a Philips hue bulb after all the hype for years as this one is a reasonable price. Have been using various led bulbs ever since they came out when a standard none smart non dimmable bulb was $30. Anyway I am wholly unimpressed about it. Personally I think I can get a better overall light from other bulbs at a fraction of the cost. If you have to have the remote capability of this then maybe worth it however I am steering away from smart controlled bulbs due to their unpredictable behavior after a power cut.

> 3 dayI love the way these bulbs dim on command. The light color is warm and natural. They can be configured directly in the Alexa app so there is no need to download a separate manufacturers app.

> 3 dayHave many of these in the house in several rooms along with light switches and other smart home products. This attached to the Hue hub quite easily as they always do and so far it is working fine where it is placed. It is very nice that Philips came out with a brighter bulb finally. Since it is an even 100 watt equivalent its easy to figure out what wattage it is when you dim it by any percentage. Example would be if you make it 50% then its pretty much equal to 50 watts, 75% is 75 watts and so on! Alexa can turn this one on and off as I wish with just a few words. Just as a side note if this is in a socket controlled by a light switch get yourself a switch cover to help you not turn it off. These need to be continuously powered to work.
