Saved me buying a new MacBook. Profoundly surprised by the improvement in speed I got from just a hard drive. Made my personal MacBook from 2012 work about as fast as my brand new laptop from work.

I run an Acer Nitro 5 laptop with an existing 500GB SSD (Western Digital) PCIe another 500GB SSD I installed (Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB PCIe) and an open 2.5 inch SATA drive slot.

I just purchased a Acer GX 785 I added 32 Gb of RAM, and a Samsung 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM). I ran the machine right out the box with a standard 1 TB SATA Hard-drive, I couldnt stand the sound of the crunching of data and the time it took for my new rig to get going. I installed the 860 EVO and it was like getting a new new machine. Starts up quick and runs smooth. Easy install with the SAMSUNG migration tool. Put some life back into your machine I recommend this product!

This Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB did everything it was supposed to do. I stalled it in my Predator Helios 500 with no problems at all and now I have plenty of storage for photos, games, etc.

Love this SSD and have never had them given mean any problems. Ive used it for a couple years now and just bought another one.

Cloned and changed my previous hard drive with this one. Anyone can notice the speed improvement. System boots almost instantly so now I can really take advantage of the notebook capabilities. I can surf the web faster (web pages open much faster) without the previous slow HDD bottleneck. It was a significant upgrade for me.

The OEM hdd included in my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro was finally noticeably hindering my computers speed when managing files, opening programs, and booting up. Since this laptop is now 6.5 years old, Im afraid the hdd will die soon and be an inconvenience, too. This is why I upgraded to this top-of-the-line ssd.

Ive had the Samsung EVO 860 1TB SSD 2.5 inch SATA III drive installed and running for ~2 months. Since it replaced a 1TB hard drive on a 6 year old laptop with a BIOS motherboard that only supports SATA I and Windows 10 (version 1803 rs4; Spring 2018 Creators Update). I cant speak much for performance, other than it does perform at the maximum speed allowed by the SATA I controller. I can say that the SSD is very reliable so far, with no downtime or performance issues to date. The physical installation, including opening the laptop, removing the old hard drive, installing the new SSD, and closing it up, took me about 30 minutes total, with no problems at all for that part of the upgrade.
