Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I ordered a drive caddy and once the drive was mounted on the caddy it was easy to install into my 6 year old desktop as the primary drive and has worked perfectly since it was installed 2 months ago. Previously it took over 2 minutes to get to the login page and another 2 to be ready for use. Now the computer is ready to go in less than 30 seconds.

4 stars because none of these new products have been time tested by me.

One of the advantages to Samsung over other brands is Samsung provides cloning/migration/backup software that works with its drives.

I purchased this ssd because I noticed that I was always on a lag. If I were to play C.O.D. BO4 multiplayer, I would notice that I was about a second behind all enemies. That is obviously the last thing you want in a game where you need every advantage. Im a fairly good player, but I couldnt do better than around 14 kills. Now I feel comfortable to rush around and end up with 20+ kills. Even blackout feels a lot better. I load faster and often can land before others. Another benefit to having the game on an external device is that you can take it over to a friends house and connect the usb and youre ready to go. It is very simple to install. The xbox recognizes it right away. I did get the 250gb and it does work perfectly.

This is the second time to buy Samsung SSD i have had the previous version 850 Evo and it never failed me and this is the newer version and still kicking ASS :D :D

Installing into a Dell G5 5587 doesnt do much to improve battery, but it does indeed give the laptop a much needed speed boost. While a mechanical hard drive is good for long term storage, this SSD is perfect for its price for very quick load times, gaming, file transfers, and more.

Literally remove your own hard drive and put this one in its place exactly the same way and boom. Your computer is loading 10x faster it feels like.

I looked at a couple SSD but ended up choosing Samsung SSD because of their proprietary cloning software. Good choice! I am completely satisfied with this SSD. Start up time now is...amazing. Now, when launching a program, boom it is started. I originally ordered the 860 EVO 500 GB SATA SSD from Samsung directly and put that one in my HP G72-250US. What a difference that made so I bought this 860 EVO 1 TB SATA SSD for my desk top (DELL 3650). Cloning was easy (again). Now I have a 1 TB SSD and a 1TB HDD as a backup drive.

Been using samsung ssd since the 830 series and have never had one cause any kind of issues. The built in software is great for monitoring drives as well as migrating from HDD to SSD. In total I have migrated around 30 machines to these and am running 3 in my rig at home. Will continue to buy them.
