Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I installed the 500G SSD as a second drive in a Mac Mini mid 2011 computer, cloned the existing drive to the SSD, changed the SSD to the boot drive and it made the computer super fast. It use to take at least 5 minutes to boot on the old drive, and now it boots in 30 seconds. Everything is super fast now. It is unbelievable how much faster the computer is. We were looking to purchase a new computer since the performance was getting so bad, but with this upgrade there is no need. Everything now opens within a second or two, where it use to take almost a minute for some things to open. I highly recommend changing to a SSD if your Mac is slow. For just $90 (500G SSD and a install kit with SATA cable) we have a new computer. I used the B07BRR4KXQ install kit, and it worked great. Note: Turn on TRIM on the SSD after installation. Search Youtube for cloning instructions, and how to turn on TRIM. You do not need extra software to clone your existing drive, turn on TRIM, and make the SSD the boot drive. I used Disk Utility on the Mac to perform all the necessary cloning steps.

You need this. My 2013 HPE i7 3770 desktop boots in less than 20 seconds. SSD is the only way to go. I will buy a second when the price drops more.

Great SSD, I had some issues getting system to recognize drive but found I just needed to enable it in disc management before installing. Laptop now fully boots in a few seconds and apps load super fast. I am happy with my purchase.

Upgraded my desktop from a HDD to this new samsung SSD for my startup drive...i ran a test to see how long it took to start the computer and load up Apex Legends. From turning on power to playing Apex Legends was a fast 36 seconds. Blazing fast!!! Only wish i would have gotten the 1TB. Still very happy with the purchase.

This drive is a great cost-effective SATA SSD drive for use in upgrading an older computer. If your motherboard doesnt have compatibility to use an m.2 NVMe drive, this one is a great cost to performance drive. Its not the fastest drive, but its fast enough to make your old hard drive look like a dinosaur. Easy to install and upgrade, as long as you know how to transfer data, or do a fresh Windows install.

If you buy this one i highly recommend to install samsung magician software and boost this ssd, try it you wont believe the end results. The evo mechanism is awesome. It boost the speed of the ssd 10 times

We build a lot of systems for the oil patch here in West Texas and their systems see a lot of bumpy dirt road driving and these drives hold up well, The Samsung line seems to hold up better then any other SSD out there.

doing great, no issues yet but i do wish samsung would release magician app for mac. tried to update firmware and no luck getting it to work, and the newest firmware update for mac is for the 850 not the 860 so i dont even know if i should keep trying. i know PCs are more popular but cmon samsung, youre an enormous company i did not expect so much lacking in your products. (like this 400$ tv i unfortunately assumed had bluetooth since thats such a basic thing.)
