Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

My iMac is now reborn. It is super fast. Make sure to back up the current data with Time Machine. Once the 860EVO has been installed and the iMac rebooted, hit command+R and go to disk utility in order to format the 860EVO to Mac compatible format, e.g. Mac OS Extended (Journaled). When its done, go back and shoot for Restore from time machine backup and follow the steps on the screen.

Its a memory SSD. It arrived well packaged and in good time. My only complaint is the lack of USB-Sata transfer cable, which is recommended in the instructions to migrate data.

Easy to install. Had a problem with my Mac needing a replacement drive control cable - a common problem with 2013 MacBook Pro. Wouldn’t read the drive . Replaced it and worked like a charm. New life for an old computer. Super fast.

I installed it last night on my desktop. I used an case adaptor which I bought form Corsair. Everything went well. My computer now is much faster and has great storage capacity.

This drive was a breeze to install in my PS4 slim. It noticeably sped up the PS4 initialization process, game loading and data download times for those huge online game installations, but more importantly, the gameplay is smoother. I wish I had done this a long time ago, but I was only recently forced to replace the old 5400 RPM hard drive due to complete hard drive failure. I would recommend this Samsung solid state drive to any PS4 gamer as an essential upgrade.

Samsung ssd are fantastic. I have and 860 evo and a 870 evo plus installed and both are performing great.

The only real negative is the price - which keeps falling on SSDs in general so hopefully I can pick up a few more. Would love to have picked up a 4TB version, but price prohibitive so the 2TB version fit the bill to keep things running fast on an HP Omen gaming laptop. It also has a decent sized buffer for large file transfers which is nice. Great overall SSD and would have been more than suitable for a boot drive if I didnt already have one installed.

... for upgrading a laptop with HD only when new. Went right in, faster than hell! Turns a middle of the road laptop into a very quick one, excellent for just about anything one would use a laptop for.

This SSD sped up my system dramatically. The storage is exactly what youd expect to see. Directions require a SATA to USB adapter to transfer/copy to this SSD, but I had no problems with plugging it into the system directly and copying from my HDD.
