great upgrade from hard drive and certainly noticed a performance enhancement.

These are great drives will give any PC a good performance upgrade that has a mechanical drive

Replaced an old HDD in a 2009 Macbook Pro with this SSD. The new performance is unreal...like a brand new device. Installing the Samsung SSD and replacing the fan unit made my device run much cooler as well.

I have never used an SSD to date, this thing really surprised me. I was looking to add additional storage to my laptop, I thought I had two compartments on my machine, I did not. So my idea was to migrate my current hard drive to a new one, . . . at my IT guys advice, I decided to try a solid state drive (Samsung specifically), and then reformat the existing HD and house it in a case to use as an external HD for the additional storage that I wanted. Everything went as smooth as one could hope for, I backed up all my stuff, did a defragment and about 3 ½ hours later AFTER I started the migration I had an exact clone of my existing HD, (Samsung’s downloadable software to migrate the drives was super easy to use) swapped the drives and was blown away by how fast everything loaded and functioned, I was so happy with the performance and ease that I went to my local Best Buy and bought another one for my sons laptop, his was equally as easy and impressive, so impressive that I bought a 3rd one, but a WD Blue this time, I’m going to use this one as an external in a case to go with MY / our laptop. SSD is the way to go, very awesome, I’m super happy as well as everyone else that has been using it.

1 of the best brands on SSD drives out there. Works great with my Windows 10 laptop. Boot up times from a cold start to full function is about 8 seconds!!

I dont have a lot of words for this review. I had a smaller drive that my OS was on and it failed. I needed a new drive and though, let me upgrade the old pc with a new fangled SSD drive. I went for what my research said was the biggest, most reliable name of SSD maker. I spend the money for the 1tb drive and when I did the fresh OS install and it started up for the first time, it was light lightning speed that I couldnt have ever imagined with my old mechanical HD. this thing is so fast is frightening. I built this machine many years ago, and if you would have told me that by putting an SSD drive in as my OS/boot drive would give me incredible speed, boot up 2x as fast (if not faster), and be absolutely silent, I wouldnt have believed you. well, I am a believer. this product is the real deal and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to build or upgrade from their current old technology in HDs. you will breath new life into that old CPU for sure!

Feels so good to use this for my boot drive

Works as advertised. Very fast, things load with the quickness now. I would give it 5 stars but the 500MB is not technically true. They based it off of a 1000MB scale, when it should be 1024MB. Actual size is like 480ish GB. I kinda expected this from Samsung which is why I bought anyways BUT at the sweet prime price.
