> 24 hourThis (240GB) has been absolutely flawless in an HP 8200 elite (Q67 chipset) running Windows 7 x64. Performance is in line with what was advertised, and what other sites benchmarked - and it hasnt slowed down in the few months Ive had it (unlike the 840/840 Evos). Windows gets partway through the flag animation, then goes right over to the login screen. Nice! Update: The desktop is still working perfectly, 8 or 9 months later, hasnt noticeably slowed down or anything. No stability issues. I just bought a 480GB one for my zbook 14g1. That one, too, is working like a charm thus far. If I need any more SSDs, theyll be Extreme Pros or Ultra IIs from now on. Update: Ive since tried one of the drives in a Zbook 14 g2, and a Lenovo t440s. Works like a charm in everything, and unlike other drives, these dont falter under load. Throw a 200GB transfer at these and Windows (resmon) shows 25% usage while maxing out a gigabit link. (Unlike other drives, that advertise similarly high speeds but suffer if you give them a huge file transfer and dont give them time to TRIM afterwards.) Ill definitely buy another one of these should I need it.

> 24 hourAn absolutely incredible upgrade. My initial benchmarks indicate boot time at 20% of the original time, maybe lower. Database programs and processes run a lot faster when using the disk for a database. Even browsing and video is greatly sped up, as the time to load cached images and video content is very fast, so it even appears to improve the quality of the displayed video. I guess with the old green hard drives, the time the browser program takes to load the data is enough time to reduce image quality. An absolute must for any personal or computationally intensive business computer. Certainly good for servers too.

> 24 hourLet me start by saying i run this drive as the boot and holds most of my music that i listen to. It still shows 100% life remaining on the SanDisk dashboard. no problems with startups or shutdowns. i keep a battery backup on so no power drops. I bought this drive in 2015 and payed $350 new with 10 year warranty. here are the spec on my use from the dashboard. Power on hours : 23783 Power cycle count : 514 Program fail count : 0 Unexpected power loss count : 77 Temp : 82 F / 28 C Media Wearout Indicator : 0.71% ********* AMAZING ******** Available reserve space : 100 % Total GB Write : 8420 Total GB Read : 17438 Total GB NAND Write : 21876 Temp throttle status : on I keep the drive at about 50% full. If I go over 60% i usually swap some music to my Ultra II drive. Never a problem from that drive. In this day and age it nice t find a reliable and affordable drive.

> 24 hourI bought this drive to replace the 5400 rpm drive that came with my laptop which was now slowing down to about a whole minute to allow me to start using the computer at start up. At the time it was a bit more expensive but I believed in the brand, quality, and its reviews. It has vastly sped up my system and it still is ready to use in under about 20 seconds from restart. I might look into getting another Sandisk drive with larger storage since my computer has taken on about 100 gigs of homework software projects and games over the past few semesters.

> 24 hourThe SanDisk Extreme Pro 240GB SSD arrived about a week ago to rejuvenate my mid 2010 15 inch Macbook Pro, 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM running OS X 10.7.5. Ive been an IT professional for the last 26+ years and this is one of my top personal use purchases ever, considering bang for the buck. It was the 10-year warranty coupled with a reasonable price that sold me. I had a 1TB Toshiba drive that was always agonizingly slow for any I/O operation: booting, logging in, app launches, shutting down, and especially running virtual machines under VMware Fusion. I know its sad, but Im in lust with this drive. Im parked at home recovering from a surgery so Ive had time to really put it through its paces. Now, instead of putting my laptop to sleep when I set it aside, I shut down since boot-time and login are so fast. Launches of my standard apps are nearly instantaneous with everything Ive tried: Word, Excel, Chrome, Firefox and VMware Fusion. Id say that Fusion has benefited the most; whether I start a Linux, Windows XP or Windows 7 VM they all run as if theyre on native fairly decent hardware. Installation was easy, although it took a few hours to complete. First I got a fresh Time Machine backup using my external USB 3.0 drive. I removed the itty-bitty case screws and back cover and backed out two screws holding a bracket intended to keep the HD stationary. I took out the old drive, applied the little stick-on frame supplied with the SSD to improve the fit and put it all back together. I connected my USB backup drive and rebooted while holding (iirc) command+r. I was prompted for the wifi encryption key I use, then It took a few minutes to download and boot the recovery/utility image from Apple. It found the backup disk, but since the SSD arrived unformatted it wasnt presented as a target to restore to. A glance at the top of the screen showed the Disk Utility menu. Moments later the SSD was partitioned and formatted using what had been the default choice from Disk Utility - basically, it was the make this a bootable device option although I dont recall the moniker. I started the restore of my 200GB of data, made sure the power was connected, and after about a 3-hour wait I booted into digital nirvana. Seriously, its like I have a brand new, screaming-fast laptop.

> 24 hourFast and reliable SSD with a 10-year warranty. Better than Samsung SSD in software as Samsung cloning does not support non-Samsung recovery partitions. So if you want to clone your disk to ssd and keep say a Sony revovery partition, the Sandisk comes with Acronis WD edition that supports cloning/resizing all partitions from source to destination drive. One note, that since it is a WD edition of Acronis, it will not install if it doeasnt detect Sandisk/WD drive. So make sure your external USB to SATA does not hide the name of the drive(like in Device manager) otherwise Acronis will not install. I had bought a Dugol enclosure that did that and it did not work with acronis. I had to use my old Rosewill enclosure to get it to work. After cloning my original disk to it, I installed the Sandisk Extreme pro in my Sony laptop and it worked flawlessly and it is very fast!

> 24 hourI have a recording studio and a recent Mac Pro Cylinder computer. I needed a fast external drive for making music with my DAW software (Logic X). I tried a few different USB3 SSD and hard disk connections until I came to this drive. I use these in my Atomos Ninja 2 video recorder and that is how I got on to using them for my DAW. This disk mounted on an Atomos USB3 drive sled reads and writes at over 360 MB/s as measured with Black Magic Design disk speed test. This was the fastest drive Ive tested. By contrast my OWC USB3 SSD only writes at 150MB/s and reads at 205MB/s by the same measure. My Seagate 7200 3-TB hard disk drive which is Enterprise class reads and writes at 180MB/s so this SSD is really a big step up in speed. Its working great as my DAW SSD now, fast, quiet, cool running and Amazon makes it affordable and easy to get. Good music and good computing to all!

> 24 hourThe SanDisk extreme pro was a great upgrade to my laptop. It has speed up boot times to less then 15 sec before that it took over 60 seconds or more to boot. Installing programs is lot faster than before. Going form 100mb to over 500mb read and writes speed up the computer a lot. Updating computer is a lot faster. Programs run a lot faster with a SSD. The drive is lot less fragile then a HDD. You do not have to worry as much if you accidently drop your computer about it breaking because it has no moving parts to break. This SSD is good for computer because it is durable for a laptop Because a laptop gets thrown around a lot . Over all the product works well in a laptop or tower because of how it not made of moving parts to break if you drop it. I have drop my lap top a few times and the drive still works. The program that you download to monitor it is good. It gives you a lot of info on your SSD. The product is good. Very high quality. Order came soon after ordering on this site. Have had good luck with product.

> 24 hourSanDisk has always had a reputation for quality products and this SSD is no exception. With the cost of SSD drives falling it is not hard to justify an upgrade if you are still using mechanical hard drives. This is a great price for a large capacity drive like this. I still use a mechanical drive for bulk storage, but all my programs run from this one, and you wont believe the difference in the response of your computer when you upgrade to a SSD. I have no problem recommending this drive, it is top-quality all the way.

> 24 hourBest thing I could have bought. It made my wifes MacBook Slow into a MacBook Pro (event though I am not a fan of Mac). It used to take her 2 minutes to turn on, 15 or 30 seconds to get to home page from sleep, and 8 minutes (how crazy!!!) to open up LightRoom or PhotoShop. Her computer had that stupid beach ball spinning all the time, and all the programs ran slow (her computer is barely over a year old). I copied her hard drive onto this SSD and we havent had one problem since! Her computer will come all the way on and at home screen in about 15 seconds, when from sleep it is right up by the time it is all the way opened and once you enter password it is right at home screen, no wait. Also you can have a ton of programs open and it doesnt have any delay or lag switching between them. LightRoom and PhotoShop open in a mind-blowing 5 seconds compared to 8 minutes. I didnt know the SSD would do that for her computer but I am slow glad it did and I am forever grateful to SanDisk! Awesome product!
