Now this is a Chain! I guess someone could maybe get trough this thing but it aint worth the time or energy, or the plasma cutter it would take. This thing is incredibly strong! Couple this with a forged lock and feel pretty darn good that your bike/Cycle will be there when you return. Schlage continues to live up to its name with this product. Threw this into my backpack and my wife uses it for resistance training lol. Yeah its that heavy duty.

We all know that with enough time and the correct tools nothing is impenetrable. But this chain is as close as youre going to get to stopping a perp because unless he has a lot of time and some sort of electric grinding tool and or a 5 foot bolt cutter hes not getting through this chain any time soon. If one were going to steal something this chain is locked to, the attack point might shift to the lock or what the chain is wrapped around because this thing is an animal and it might be easier to attack a weaker part. Though its made in China it seems to be made well. There is a cover to the chain that has velcro wrapped through the link so it cant shift when youre trying to loop it through something. This was a big help because I was feeding the chain through the seat frame of my truck and it was a very tight fit. The weight alone tells you that this chain means serious business (approx 6 lbs). If I had a complaint it would be that the black cover that covers the chain leaves too many links exposed. I understand its like that for the ring to cinch the chain and then you lock your padlock through it but in my case it makes too much noise when I shift my gun safe around. I used heat shrink tubing to keep the links quiet and now its much quieter when I move the safe around. Right now Im using them in conjunction with my gun safes (Fort Knox) in my trucks (wrapped around the seat frame) and in my house as well. I feel very confident that the safes are staying put . The cinching action of the ring allows the chain to to extend further than if you had to lock both links with a padlock. Used this chain to secure my spare tire/rim in the bed of my truck. The sheath is really thick therefore, it wont rub through or cause damage to my rim. The chain is 1/2 thick and gives me peace of mind when my truck is parked. The chain is really heavy duty and I recommend it for anything that you are trying to secure. Especially if your into overkill security. 10/10

Dont cheap out, this chain is worth the investment. I use this is my bike chain with a good boron shackle lock; heavy as hell, but I just wear it like a sash. I wish it had a velcro strap at both ends of the sleeve instead of just the cinch end, but I understand the design decision.

This product is very similar to the Krytonites New York Noose chain, except its 3.3 feet instead of 2.5 feet. Combine with Kryptonites Evolution 4 lock and youll save about twenty bucks over the New York Noose, albeit sacrificing Kryptonites reimbursement guarantee if someone manages to cut the chain instead of the lock. Is that likely? In a word, no. The only way through it is with an angle grinder. Itd be easier to the cut the sign, rack, or whatever else the chain is attached to. This, assuming youre willing to carry the chain with you at all; its well over five pounds excluding the lock. I use mine to secure the bike to my trailer hitch when Im at stops while traveling. If I had to take something on a ride, Id opt for a U-lock.

I use this to secure motorcycles and it gives confidence. This thing is beefy and the pass through ring makes it much better. Good buy

I returned defective ABUS chains which do not have elongated end link and get two of these so I can USE my ABUS shrouded locks. I deduct a point since they do not make chain longer than 5ft so I will have to buy two and weld together.

I used this to secure a snowblower to a metal column in my garage. Its the perfect length and the fabric cover protects the paint on the snowblower. The metal seems heavy and strong. While Im sure anything can be defeated by a sufficiently determined thief, my hope is that this would give them enough trouble to move on.

Just the right size! I use this to secure my trailer to the welded hitch of my truck. I got a large stainless steal lock that I lock to the chain hole on my trucks hitch. I lasso the tongue on the welded parts where they come to a tip of a triangle with the chain and slip the chain into the large ring and pull towards my truck. I figure with this and various other locks on the trailer itll dieter a thief to look for an easier target.
