> 3 dayI left this in my truck bed for the whole summer and its in the same shape as when I bought it. I keep it locked in by itself when not in use

> 3 dayVery solid (and heavy) chain. Will be very difficult to cut. We combined is with the Kryptonite Evolution Series 4 Bicycle Disc Bike Lock. Great combination!

> 3 dayIt works fine for my purpose, though in my head, 5 was longer than it is in reality. I measured, and the chain is actually 5. Its a heavy chain and feels solid. Gives me peace of mind, and makes it easier to lock up my motorcycle at home. Wouldnt be real great to lug around town because of how heavy it is, but you could definitely do that. Its more expensive than I think it should be, but go try and find a better deal (tell me if you do!).

Greater than one weekThis is a heavy duty chain. Im using it to secure a gas generator to a shed and more than enough length to secure. Because the chain is mounted in the back of the shed and under the generator, using a bolt cutter or grinder would not be impossible, but highly unlikely. I would recommend this product for this application. This is heavy so I wouldnt want to carry this around or use on a bike, but a motorcycle with storage bin would work.

21-11-2024What really convinced me to get this chain was the YouTube of a guy unsuccessfully try to cut it with giant bolt cutters. Whether it was a set or not I dont know. I live way out in the boondocks and travel often and was trying to find the thickest affordable chain possible. I may get the longer version next to help secure a trailer. Nothing is entirely thief proof but it looks like this chain will certainly slow one down.

> 3 dayThe Schlage was MUCH HEAVIER than my Kryptonite 12 mm chain! Schlage measures from edge-to-edge, while Kryptonite is 12 mm from vertex-to-vertex!

> 3 dayThe noose on the end is unique. This makes the chain effectively a foot longer. However I am disappointed that the links are not the proper profile to fit the end link through the middle of two other links. I would have liked to use a puck lock since I carry this on my electric bike.

> 3 dayThis is a HEFTY chain. I have not tried to break it - check review sites. Any chain will succumb to a cut-off grinder but I suspect this will dissuade anyone with less.
