Schlage 12mm Cinch Ring Security Chain (No Lock)

Just as advertised. Its a nice heavy chain. My shed is in the back of the yard, I use it to chain my snowblower up on my back deck so I dont have to drag it through the (snow-covered) yard every time I need to clean off the driveway. The cover is nice as well. It will help keep the chain from damaging what you are trying to protect.

Very solid (and heavy) chain. Will be very difficult to cut. We combined is with the Kryptonite Evolution Series 4 Bicycle Disc Bike Lock. Great combination!

I use these to lock down my trailer and my motorcycles. These are monster chains!! Highly recommend!

The Schlage was MUCH HEAVIER than my Kryptonite 12 mm chain! Schlage measures from edge-to-edge, while Kryptonite is 12 mm from vertex-to-vertex!

I work as an overnight delivery driver in a major metro. I also like to ride my motorcycle to work. Naturally, I worry about my bike wandering off while Im out on my route. I decided to get a loop chain and disc lock in order to discourage would-be thieves from absconding with my means of conveyance. I looked at sets but found them to be grossly overpriced. After much consideration, I decided to purchase this chain and a Krypotine Evolution Disc lock. The chain is heavy and feels strong. If anyone has tested it, I wouldnt know, since my bike is still mine. Further, by purchasing the chain and lock separately, I was able to save a few bucks. If I had to gripe, Id say that the ring is a little too small and it binds up when you try to cinch it tight. Not a major issue, I just have to bend my lazy butt over and work it through. Also, they weight is a little much to carry in your backpack, I just keep it in my locker at work.

This thing is BEEFY. Saw other reviews and so I checked and my welds looked nice. Paired this up with a large schlage lock and have very little worry anyone other than a truly determined person would get through it. Nothing is completely unbreakable but it is nicely made and I think it would deter most people looking to get away with something quickly.

This is really a good security chain. Cant see anyone getting through this easily. It is, however, quite heavy. This really doesnt make it very portable. I use it to secure the bikes to the rack on my truck for overnight stops. Cant imagine carrying this with me on a ride anywhere.

The noose on the end is unique. This makes the chain effectively a foot longer. However I am disappointed that the links are not the proper profile to fit the end link through the middle of two other links. I would have liked to use a puck lock since I carry this on my electric bike.

I use it to lock my ebikes and combined with a u lock its the best.
