Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition Over-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I received a pair from my SO and theyre amazing. I use it both for gaming and music and its awesome. The sound quality is crystal clear, and its perfect for surround sound gaming. I play Overwatch with them which requires a lot of spatial awareness, and after switching to these I could hear exactly where the enemy team is coming from or if theyre sneaking around. Warning: these are OPEN ENDED headphones which are not typically the best choice for using outside the home if you wanted it to cancel sound. You can hear everything around you pretty loud and clear which could be a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing is that I like being able to hear when someone calls me at home since I live upstairs and I dont like to have noise to be completely cancelled. The bad thing is that if I am studying or want to completely zone out of my environment, these will not block any noise. Whether thats what youre going for or not is up to you.

Still sound as good as they did when they were freshly broken in. Have only gone through 3 cables in 6 years, and Im hard on cables. Got a new headband pad coming in as the vinyl one cracked down the middle, but theyve got 6 years of use.

Excellent sound at a reasonable price. I didnt realize how badly my other headphones sounded until I purchased these. Great value.

Better than bose and beats

A bit better sound than the Beyerdynamic 990 pro 250 Ohms I have. However, I like the build quality and comfort of the Beyerdynamics enough that they are still preferred.

A must have the sound quality is out of this world. Quality is top notch and they are comfortable to ware.
