Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition Over-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

These sound very good, but not balanced from left to right. Imaging is not properly centered.

My brother got me these for blk Friday. Dont listen to the bogus reviews. Love the sound.

Its hard to describe what one hears. I hear these are excellent!

Bought these new (allegedly) on sale and discovered that the 3.5 mm adapter is missing. It seems from Seinheissers warranty that they dont cover accessories so I have to pay an extra $15. Disappointing.

The real gist of my experience with the hd598s that they are the pair of headphones Ive used the most in my life so far. They are great allrounders that can you can use for all your general purpose listening, music and gaming and theyll never let you down. Just remember they are open back and obviously not ideal if you need any kind of outside sound blocking or dont want to leak the sound of what you are listening to those around you (especially close by). They are also incredibly comfortable especially when given the size of the headphone. Nowadays seems like the new version of this classic cans are the hd599s but if you want a good balanced sound with warm airy tones these phones or something like the 6xx is going to give you amazing bang for buck.

First wearing it felt strange, as you hear yourself brushing against the cord in your left ear. Thankfully, you stop noticing it inside of a week of use. After a few years of use, this has been one of my favourite headsets, and still is. The cord is fraying slightly, but that could be due to accidentally rolling over it with my chair once or twice.. whoops!

These replace my 20 years old HD580. Superb sound, detail and natural and the bass is perfect. These are not has good has the HD800, but a 110$ CDN in special, they are a real bargain.

Bought during a sale, now I know how good they are I would have no problem paying full price. Perfect for PC gaming (I dont need a mic) and music.
