Absolutely amazing. 10/10. Got them on sale for when they were around 100 dollars. No regrets. Sound quality is amazing and so is the comfort. 10/10 must buy

Cards on the table Ive been a fan of Sennheiser for many years so Im only going to write good things about them. These were so cheap in the 2015 Black Friday sale that I had to treat myself. They fit beautifully and are ridiculously light & comfortable. Come with a short cable for portable music players and a longer 3m one for listening across the room from your amp/TV. Beautiful sound quality. Everything just sounds clear and precise and uncoloured. With my mp3 player thay lack a bit of volume. My phone (OnePlus 2) obviously has a better amplifier as it drives them a little louder, but connected to my Onkyo amp they really deliver. They do lack a little bit of bass if you listen to something requires it, but I can live with that. Even lowly BBC 5 Live podcasts are elevated to something sonically wonderful.

The probably one of the best headphone i can afford, its open ear so there will be sound leak which will higher at higher sound level, so if are planning to use in office or around other people, you may have to compromise with volume. At 6.5k it beats everything hands down.

I am really happy with the headphone. These were the criteria when I was in the market for headphones - Physical comfort; with prolonged usage I should forget that I am wearing headphone. - Sound clarity; low on bass but crisp sound. I want to be able to listen for prolonged period without strain - Not be totally disconnected from the outside (as in, ambient noise is alright) Sennheiser HD 598 met all the criteria. This is my second Sennheiser HD 598. I have one at work and one at home. - Physically, this is a well designed ergonomically. I was wear this for hours without a strain. - Sound quality is commendable. Sound is easy on ears. Again, if you want to listen to music while you work, without feeling the strain on your ears, this is it. - This is open headphones. While, the sound quality is very enjoyable, I am not disconnected from what is happening around me. (this is a personal choice. I know lot of people that look for total isolation with noice cancellation.in that case these headphones are not you) Highly recommend this. the price point is very reasonable as well.

Der Name Sennheiser steht seit Jahren für qualitativ hochwertige Produkte im Soundbereich. Der Sennheiser HD598 ist mein zweiter Kopfhörer des Herstellers und überzeugt in nahezu jeder Anforderung. Soundtechnisch bietet Sennheiser mit dem Kopfhörer gewohnt hohe Qualität, die sich vor allem im Hoch- und Mitteltonbereich wiederspiegelt. Leider sind die Bässe des HD598 nicht ausgeprägt genug und könnten nach meinem Empfinden tiefer und voluminöser sein. Gerade bei basslastiger Musik, wie im RnB und Hip-Hop-Bereich üblich, bleibt der Sennheiser etwas hinter meinen hohen Erwartungen zurück. Der Tragekomfort ist ausgezeichnet. Auch nach längerem Tragen klemmt oder zwickt rein gar nichts. Die Ohrmuscheln legen sich sanft am Ohr an und bieten eine erstklassige Abschirmung der Außengeräusche. Insgesamt bietet Sennheiser mit dem HD598 einen erstklassigen Kopfhörer, der soundtechnisch bis auf die zu schwachen Bässe absolut überzeugen kann. Hinzu kommt der exzellente Tragekomfort, der den Kopfhörer in jeder Situation alltagstauglich macht.

Excellent sound, very comfortable to wear for extended periods, especially since the headphones fit around the ear rather than on the ear, and the material that goes around the ear is cloth, rather than come crap leathery material that many headphones use.

I just literally, involuntarily, cried while listening to a song Ive heard a million times before. First, let me tell you a story. Ive wanted a pair of Sennheiser headphones for years. One day, in the summer of 2011, I looked over at my bosss desk and noticed he wasnt using his pair of over-the-ear headphones. I asked him if I could borrow them, I needed to focus. I put them on, turned my music back on, and went back to work not thinking too much about it. Within 5 minutes I had taken them off and was checking them out; I checked the brand, checked the build... I was trying to figure out how expensive they were. I was just so ... surprised! It was the most immersive, rich sound experience I had ever had with headphones. I felt like I could hear MORE of the music, more of the high notes, just more details in general. I swore they were at least 100 bucks after looking them up online and comparing images - I asked my boss about it later and he said they were a slightly cheaper model he got for about $70. Then I forgot about them, it seemed kind of like an unneeded expense at the time. Fast-forward to today. My new pair of headphones, the Sennheiser HD 598s Special Edition, have been waiting for me since I ordered them on Black Friday. I unpacked everything and saved the boxes. I sat down at the kitchen table, plugged my headphone amplifier into my computer, plugged the adapter into the headphones and into the amp, and put them on. I thought about it and figured If I Ever Fall In Love by Shai would be rich enough to get a feel for how good these things sounded but, boy, I wasnt ready. Let me repeat that, I WASNT READY. You see, I recently bought a pair of Sony MDR-XB950s (sans bluetooth but w/ mic) - a good pair of $120 headphones that I bought in Guatemala since my Black Friday purchase was 2250 miles away and I needed music to work. As I was putting on the Sennheiser headphones I was thinking I mean, how much better can headphones really get, I was SO WRONG. The song starts and I love it, so crisp. The first chorus hits and I was right, so rich. Its a beautiful song, passionate, raw. But then I started hearing things I didnt expect to notice. I hear when the main singer gets a little carried away on a trill. I can hear when a singers mouth got a little too close to the mic. I can hear vibrato I didnt even know was there before. I close my eyes and lean my head back against my chair. As I continue listening I start tearing up... Im telling you, Im seeing this guy in the studio! Ive never even been in a studio! I dont just hear his pain, I can SEE his pain, I can see his face! Hes so nostalgic, so sad. Who did he lose? What cant he forget? The song ends and Im exhausted, what emotional rollercoaster did I just get off of? Wtf happened? I didnt know headphones can make you do that. Make you feel that. Best. Purchase. Ever. Non posso parlar male di queste cuffie ma nemmeno troppo bene dato che i pro vengono annullati da due aspetti negativi di questa cuffia. Ovviamente questo che scriverò fa parte di una valutazione personale in base alla mia esperienza nel settore hi-fi e audiofilo, dunque puramente soggettiva. Purtroppo questa cuffia non ha alcun chè minimo isolamento dai suoni esterni, ho provato tante cuffie di tipo aperto ma questa lascia passare al 100% i suoni allesterno e di conseguenza i suoni dallesterno passano tutti tramite la cuffia. Lo svantaggio è quello di doversi trovare sempre in ambienti perfettamente privi di rumori e putroppo chi è vicino a noi non può non può sentire cosa passa per la cuffia in quel momento, probabilmente disturbandolo. Inoltre, nonostante la ricostruzione dello stage estremamente AMPIA, anzi, senza eguali o addirittura da paura, questa è spostata leggermente indietro. In altre parole se ascoltassimo una band o un concerto, non avrete la sensazione di avere i suoni di fronte a voi ma leggermente indietro al vostro punto dascolto. Nulla di drammatico ma sicuramente non è un punto a favore di questa cuffia. Di positivo cè la qualità della cuffia, nel complesso ben assemblata, comoda per lunghe sessioni, il suono è estremamente pulito e dettagliato, suona bilancata su tutta la gamma restituendo dettagli senza precedenti. Eccellente nei medi, se la gioca a testa alta con le corde (chitarre, violini, bassi, chitarre elettriche del rock e sulle voci, specialmente quelle soul profonde) mentre non restituisce il punch adatto sulla gran cassa, lasciando un pizzico delusi sullascolto di musica elettronica o nuJazz, ovviamente perfettamente riprodotta ma senza quel brivido che corre sugli altri generi che ho citato. Non so dire se vale tutti i soldi che costa, forse se presa in offerta si, ma data la mia esperienza sempre positiva con AKG solo sulla fascia bassa, forse avrei dovuto osare nel spendere ancora una volta i soldi su questo marchio. Ripeto, ha degli aspetti eccellenti questa cuffia, se siete degli ascoltatori solitari ve la consiglio.
