Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition Over-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

A super comfortable headphones for listening to programs which contain a lot of talking. You wont feel any kind of discomfort even after listening to several hours. Bass is weak. Have been using this with FIIO E17K DAC, still no better. Surely not as good as ATH-M50X. Just bought them as they were available at a low price.

I love these so much. Ive had em for probably over three years now. They are extremely comfortable, the sound is very very good - imo this is probably the best entry level expensive open back headphones you can get, if you get them around 100-130$. It feels so good getting to my PC after a days work and putting these on; the sound quality is just there, the comfort lets you forget theyre on (Ive never even considered replacing the ear pads), and I use them for everything including lots of gaming. Pretty good soundstage. Sometimes I forget how good they are until I raise the volume of my music. The audio does spill out since they are open, but thats never been an issue for me since Im pretty isolated in my computer room - I think its worth mentioning though that the spill is.. considerable, but its always relative to the volume of what youre listening to. For years and years Ive been using one of those SteelSeries external sound cards that used to come with their icemat siberias, so I dont know how much that affects the sound. 1 con I might have is that the aux cable must be attached on the left earphone, which could be a nuisance if your wire management is on your right side. But the fact that the cable is detachable is actually a main reason I got these years ago - you can buy replacements, which I may need to do now since one of my cats chewed up the cable (thankfully the 598s came with 2 cables, a shorter one and a very long one, so Im currently temporarily using the latter, but its too long for my liking). I dont think these are going to be the best sounding headphones out there, but I think you get a ton of quality for the price, and as my introduction to Sennheiser, I think Im in for the long run. Honestly, if you are a gamer like me and youve bought several pairs of gamer headphones in the past and theyve all let you down.. (they all cost 80$+ and all broke one way or another, whether they broke physically or the cables would cause static) just stop buying into that gamer crap and start reading into brands who professionally make standalone products whether it be a really good audio company or a really good mic company, etc. Sennheisers awesome. (For the record, after years of owning these, I am now keeping my eyes on the cost of HD600s cause Ive seen many reviews and hear great things about them.)

What is there to say. It is Sennheiser . If anyone has ever tried this brand of headphones they know they are indescribable perfection.

Excelente calidad de audio, los audífonos son muy cómodos. Ojo sin audífonos abiertos si tienes la música con un volumen alto las personas alrededor pueden escucharlo.

Open-back circumaural headphones are fantastic.
