> 3 dayI have tried a multitude of headphones over the years everything from JVC, Sennheiser to Grado and everything in-between fro the Vine programme. For my money, Grado make the very best headphones I have ever bought and they also have exemplary after sales service. I have had 3 pairs of Sennheisers in the past, 2 sports earbud neckband type phones and the some £199 set, which were not to my liking and I sent them back. I say this as I have never had a great experience with this brand. I have nothing against the company, but for my ears, Grado are much better. At this price level (£199) there are a lot of very good headphones to choose from.such as the Grado 225s at approximately £180. So was I impressed by this new offering from Sennheiser? I received these headphones via the Vine programme to review on Amazon expecting great things given some of the rave reviews these headphones get. The big problem in rating headphones is that the sound they produce and how they sound to the ear is very subjective to review. Two people can listen to a piece of music from the same source and yet they can hear that piece differently. In light of this, I am going to try and be as objective about these headphones as I can. They appear to be very well made. Everything from the box to the connecting wire appears to be good quality. The ear pads are very comfortable and the headband is made from a leather-like material. The unit itself is lightweight and so makes long use very comfortable. They also look great and Sennheiser have obviously spent a great deal of time designing them to look good and be very comfortable. They come in a sturdy box well-made box but does not include a bag to hold them in, which is a little surprising these days, especially given the price. The sound they initially produced was good, but I was expecting a lot more. I often find on first listening top end headphones can sound poor and the key is to break them in over a few hours of playing music through them. What you hear is very much dependent upon the source you use to power these headphones. If you use them with a laptop, the bass is lacking, as they have no bass enhancement. Play them through a good quality amp system and the bass is rich, the middle range is clear and the treble is bright. This is the case with most high-end headphones, they do not sound good unless they are going through an amp system. This is not a major deal breaker, as these are not really designed to be used with this sort of system. These units are open back, so the sound leakage is very high, so using them with an MP3 player is not really suitable anyway. I listened to many different types of music with the set and all sounded very good, they are great for Opera to Pop. They come with a long cord, but it is a nonstandard cord, as the jack is recessed into the headset and so you must buy a Sennheiser lead that fits into the recess. Overall these are a well made, comfortable set of headphones. After they are broken in by playing them for a few hours, the sound they produce, when using a quality amplified sound source is very good. Whilst my ear still prefers Grado and my heart thinks Grado customer service is the very best, I am happy to recommend this set of Sennheisers. They are very good.

> 3 dayPrima cuffia di livello, a mio avviso molto equilibrata, la sezione bassi spesso messa in discussione la trovo presente al giusto punto. Predilige musica jazz, ma allo stesso tempo buona con altri generi musicali. Se cercate il basso da discoteca non è la vostra cuffia. Come primo approccio a delle cuffie hd le consiglio. Le 598 le ho abbinate ad un lettore fiio X1 e un ampli fiio e12 Montblanc Con risultati eccellenti.

> 3 dayThese headphones sound awesome. Theyre very sturdy as well, Ive had them for a few years now and after many drops they still look and work like theyre brand new. I wouldnt suggest these for on the go usage, as the cord is very long and youll need a bulky adapter to use 3.5mm. Theyre fine for use with a desktop computer, etc

> 3 dayI felt like these we a good pair of headphones. They had the clearest sound I have ever heard. The only problem is my right ear went out. Before that when i was testing, there was literally no bass. It is also an open ear so you cant listen in a library or anywhere else with out someone hearing it.

> 3 dayEveryone knows the sound on these headphones is amazing, so I wont talk about it too much. My only problem with these is how little they protect from external sound. If you want to use them close to a computer you will most likely here the fans running. Still good though.

> 3 dayVery light yet sturdy build quality. The open back design is perfect, giving the headphones a much more open sound. The quality of the sound is also very good, with the headphones having a pretty consistent response (no massive bass boost, etc), which makes them very good for most listening applications.
