Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition Over-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Very clear and solid sound with well balanced bass

Had these headphones for a few months now and ive been pretty disappointed with them. Lots of people praise their audio clarity, which I can agree with. They do sound good. nice and clear, but only at moderate and safe volumes. Cranking the headphones up to a higher volume will result in a LOT of distortion and crackling. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE FOR GAMING, METAL, or HEAVY BASS music. The bass is nearly nonexistent. Youll need some type of AMP to even power these headphones to a respectable volume if you were to be using them through a phone, mobile device, game console, or MP3 player. Without one the volume would be on the low end. On a high note, these headphones are quite comfortable and lightweight. Youll forget you even have them on. However,, but dont count on them being very durable as they are made entirely out of a thin plastic.

Exceeded my expectations by a mile. Had the 558s ( twice with and without mod ) and these 598s are just so much better sounding. I mean waay better. Bass was all there, too. Surprised about that. So pleased.

volume is low, not suitable for mobile.

I use this on my Fiio Q1 DAC and it sounds awesome, very detailed mids and trebble. But lacks on bass, however if I boost my bass using the DAC this is hands down one of the best headphones in audiophile level.

Son unos auriculares bonitos, con muy buenos acabados y comodisimos...Pero lo que yo quería era un salto de calidad en el sonido y en ese aspecto no me acaban de convencer. No entiendo mucho de auriculares ni de música asi que no puedo dar muchos detalles tecnicos,pero últimamente escucho mucha música clásica, evidentemente la más compleja y , sin ser un melomano sibarita creo que puedo decir que he oido música con bastante mayor nitidez que con estos auriculares. CREO que me los voy a quedar, pero, incluso con lo rebajados que están, no recomiendo su compra.

Sind bequem, werden gerne getragen, würden wir wieder kaufen.

Had these for almost a year now, Im not an audiophile but I can appreciate good quality headphones especially as a regular gamer and kpop fan :) They are comfy to wear and not heavy at all, and after using cheap £20~ headphones since forever, picking these up was a real treat. They are pretty expensive though, however I managed to snatch a cheap pair during sales so I only had to pay around £75. Really happy with these headphones.

Le son est parfaitement rendu, ce qui est essentiel pour un casque, mais cette qualité nest pas toujours au rendez vous. Le confort est vraiement bon, meme si le cordon est un peu court. Dommage (mais cest un detail). bonne qualité de fabrication. Satisfait.
