Super easy to install and add sensors. Took me about 20 minutes total to set it up. I’ve had other security systems before and this one is definitely worth every penny. The product itself is VERY well made and just a cheap hunk of plastic. The only thing I would change is making the siren louder, we have service connected to it so it’s not a huge deal but it’s not the loudest. I also like the chime is makes whenever a door is opened, it makes me feel better that the system is working and I’ll know if my toddler is opening a door.

It was extremely easy to install and set up. While it does not have advanced features like smoke or carbon monoxide sensors, it offers a good level of basic security for homes. I do feel safer having this installed now than I did before.

The system works OK, but I found the advertising seriously misleading. They say you can self-monitor without a contract. But you really cant, because they dont provide the ability to arm and disarm the system from your phone unless you spring for their premium monthly monitoring agreement, around $26 a month. Without the ability to turn the system on or off remotely, you cant stop the alarm from going off, or let a friend enter, etc. Its like, $230 for the equipment. But if you want the on/off switch, thatll be $26 a month. I returned the equipment and went with a competitor that doesnt play this game.

I have only owned this system for about 2 1/2 months and twice I have had to take it apart, remove batteries (reboot) and reassemble the base. This is what SimpliSafe tells customers they have to do. If their product frequently has to be taken apart, they should have designed it to come apart easily. I wish I had known what I was getting into, there must be systems that work longer than a month without having a problem necessitating disassembly. UPDATE: Rating lowered from 2 stars to 1. System stopped working entirely, reboot no longer solves problem. UPDATE: I cannot rate this lower than one star, but I now would if I could. Customer Service at this company is disgraceful. This product is only a few months old, and it now does not work at all. They claim to stand behind their products, but I have gotten nothing but the run-around. I plan to write a formal letter of complaint, but I am probably wasting more of my time. I have been completely ripped off, and that is the sad truth.

After using the system for serval years, it has been trouble free. Easy to install and use. Quick technical support when you have a question.

This system is my first alarm system, but it is versatile for anyone and easy to set up. Only had to call tech support once, and that’s because our little chiweenie triggered the motion detector before live monitoring started, so they had me flip it over (the motion detector, not the dog). With the upgraded monthly monitoring, I love remote arming and checking camera from the app. Notifies me when the kids arm it when they leave or disarm when they’re home from school. If they forget to arm it, I can. Camera (purchased separate but simple to add) seems clear, talk function worked, and events on system trigger a minute recording.

Great product easy to install. Works as expected! Would buy again for sure!!

I bought this directly from vendor but wanted to give a review here because they are allowed to edit any review they receive and their reviews shine. The instructions that come for installation lack needed information to help figure out installation issues. Tech support is provided in a foreign country and very poor. I got an email the other day that you could not even implement. I wish I had read reviews here because I was not aware of the possibility that an alarm may not be responded to and they will not assume responsibility. Buyer beware.
