> 24 hourSummary: I loved this system for its simplicity, transparent pricing and ease of use, but the functionality was flawed. Hence I had to return. Mixed experience with customer service. xxx I bought this system in Feb 2021, both the equipment and the monitoring service. I loved the transparency of their pricing, sleek and simple design, fast ship and the ease of installation. The system cell chip worked well in my house that usually struggles with cell reception. The app was fantastic - I could customize the time delays for different components etc. Then I took time to test the performance. Door sensors worked as expected being the simplest component of all. However, motion detectors did not work and neither did a glass break sensor. The advertised range for motion detectors is about 30 ft. 6ft person would enter the room, walk towards a detector, wave hands and only within a yard or so from the sensor the alarm would sound. I tested multiple motion sensors and all delivered the same result. Tech support suggested to change sensor sensitivity ( 45 ft raduis) but it did not make any difference. Overall, the support staff was eager to help but not very educated or experienced. In the end, I was concerned over having a false sense of security relying on the equipment that does not perform up to standard when one most needs it. In the end, I made a decision to return the system. The company honored its 60 day trial rule, however, the return process was messy and unlike the sales stage, I felt neglected... First, I received the backordered components after I returned the system so I had to go through the return process twice. Second, tracking the return package was close to impossible as the company changes carriers in the process - I have never seen it in the US domestic shipment. Third, the stated refund policy is 3-5 business days after the receipt of the return package. The company used 30-45 days instead with no plausible explanation. I truly wish that Simplysafe fixes the quality of its components and improves customer service.

> 24 hourRequires activation of monthly service. Cannot operate camera with system to see who entered during a burglary if not activated. The alarm will go off if someone enters but there will be no pictures and the authorities will not be notified. Also, when my system was triggered (twice) during the free evaluation period, the authorities were not notified. The first time, I called SimpliSafe and they helped me remove the red light state of the base station. The second time, the red light went off by itself after about 24 hours. Also, it announces every time you disarm it that there is No link to dispatch center.

> 24 hourAway from our vacation home for extended periods, we rely on the simplysafe system to operate however, its gone offline twice requiring updates which can only be performed in person.. so consequently the system isnt protecting the property or at least I cant communicate with it ??? not very reliable

> 24 hourWe bought this in response to all the advertisements and positive reviews, but have had the opposite experience. Two of our sensors are constantly not responding and then they work again a little while later. One sensor is out of battery already a few months after buying the system. Our camera goes offline all the time and flashes a yellow light. Id spend more money on a hardwired system next time.
