Support was amazing when I didnt read instructions. They were very patient and helpful. The alarm system is super easy to install and reliable. I feel more safe now having this alarm system that has professional monitoring and doesnt rely on my internet connection. I have peace of mind knowing someone is there to watch out for my home

This system is installed in my summer house where there is no cable or wifi available. Setup was very easy and when I called the tech service to have the system tested, they found no problem registered the system and was good to go. Without wifi, I could not use a camera, but I dont find that as a problem.

The model I received was manufactured before December 2021 and did not have the upgraded program. The Simplisafe tech was able to push the upgrade through. Everything else was very easy and I can add as much as I want later on.

Did some research and SimpliSafe had the best prices for monitored home security. I purchased the DIY kit here on Amazon. There are several to choose from. I Installed it on a Saturday afternoon in a couple of hours. It was a breeze. Just downloaded the app and follow the directions. Simple! In all seriousness when you get a home security system, you are going to pay for the equipment one way or another. The biggest difference for me was the monthly charge for their home monitoring service and I didn’t have to take off a day of work for a installation appointment. Saved money all the way around. So far the system and monitoring works as expected and I am extremely happy with the purchase and service.

Just received my new SimpliSafe system. Installation was smooth although the manual shows that the motion sensors should be installed 4 to 5 feet higher but after speaking to support, it can be higher, around 6 feet. I wished I knew that since its hard to remove once its stuck to the wall. The system also warned that and entry is open although the app shows everything is ok and closed. We have a 15 to 20 lb dog that triggers the motion sensors so we end up just using the Home option vs Away. Support was ok but i spoke to 2 different person and both yawned on the call which is not a big deal to me The 2 support individuals I spoke to were not so confident in their answers. The person I spoke to struggled to explain the difference between Home and Away. I called technical support but when I asked a question that I assumed the support person did not know the answer I was directed to the support page on the SimpliSafe website. I like the potential and its a good system and inexpensive MRC but leaves a lot for improvement.

Apparently when Simply Safe makes a mistake and it costs you hundreds of dollars they expect you to pay for it. I was taught at an early stage in life that I should pay for my own mistakes so I don’t understand Simply Safe’s policy. I set up my alarm system so when I am not at home and my dog breaks into the garage to follow me, the sensor won’t set off the alarm to call the police. I know this was set this way because everyday when I leave the house I get a text from Simply Safe that I am just getting an alert that my garage door has opened, no police call, just an advisory text. In March such a call about my garage door, was noticed by Simply Safe dispatch and they say they called me but couldn’t get me to give them the password. Well in the first place they weren’t supposed to call me as I have explained. If they had spoken to me I would have given them the code and that would have ended the issue. But I somehow didn’t get the call? So when I got the false alarm bill, I called Simply Safe and when told about the call asked to hear it. They wouldn’t let me hear the call, but agreed it was their fault and paid for the bill. I was also told that it was a trainee on the call and that the trainer who was at that time training the trainee were both sent back to basic training. Good work. Unfortunately as you will see, Simply safe didn’t bother retraining others. Last week May 19, 2021, they did the same thing again. But this time they say they don’t pay. I am really surprised anytime I hear people who don’t want to take responsibility for their actions. But I would think a big company like Simply Safe would care about their reputation?! I called and the first person I spoke with was sympathetic and transferred me to their false alarm department. This rep told me they don’t pay for this. I asked why they don’t take responsibility for their failure and was told it’s policy, they only pay once. I asked why they didn’t tell me about this one time only to pay, policy when they paid the last one and they gave no reason. I called back and asked for the cancelation department and Brian told me he understood and totally agreed with me and he would help me. After connecting me to the same guy with a really bad attitude, he connected me to Shannon. She totally agreed with me and told me she would take care of it. She later connected me to someone who told me the issue was resolved and they would pay for the false alarm. The next day, I got an early call waking me up to tell me no they weren’t going to pay. When I called back I spoke to someone who seemed sympathetic, put me on a long hold and came back telling they won’t pay? I tried to talk to her but she just responded by repeating “It’s our policy.” No matter what I said. I went for this company because of how nice they make themselves sound. So now I am stuck with $367. for the false alarm. I bought Simply Crooked’s system to protect my home and they robbed me instead of protecting me. Beware. I am amazed that they do all that advertising to get customers and then treat them like this.

Ordered this about 6 months ago in preparation for a new home. Installed it the day I closed. Was a bit worried - but installation was super easy! So far so good!
