We absolutely love this system. I actually bought another one for my apartment in Pasadena. I have a monitored system that I pay a monthly fee that I’ve been using for years, and I’ve found this system to be just as good as my other security system that I had professionally installed and monitored. SimpliSafe is very easy to install. It comes with all you need to effectively monitor your home, and I’m very happy with the price of the equipment. Also, this is even better than my other professional system because it still will work in the event of a power outage. I have added more cameras because I wanted them, but this basic kit is great to begin with. I do wish the alarm was a bit louder, but my other system isn’t very loud either. This works great in my home. It covers the entire home with no problems. We are very pleased with this system.

With discounts I paid $136 plus tax for this. Seems like a great deal to me. Took about two hours to set up start to finish including the software setup and mounting the sensors. Tested everything and it all seems to work fine. Used online chat to ask customer support if my ceiling fan would set off the motion sensor and was done in less than 5 minutes. (It wont by the way). I subscribed to the mid level monitoring. I am going to spend another $25 for the fob. No complaints at all so far.

I bought this because of all the good reviews and decent price, it is not worth it. For a “security” system it does the opposite. Usually with security systems as soon as you open the door an alarm will go off, not with simpli”safe”. When you open a door with simplisafe, an intruder still has 30 seconds to cause damage because the alarm only goes off after 30 seconds or how ever many seconds you put it as, and no there is no option to take this off. Even movement on the sensors dont work, highly disappointed.

Works great and very easy installation and setup

Our security system was easy to set up, great product... until we went to activate the system on the app. The seller has already activated the base system to a different account, which means we could not get on and activate it from our end, so someone else has access to our home security. We called Simplisafe and they said the system that was sold to us was activated already and we needed an entirely new system. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY DIRECTLY FROM SIMPLISAFE.

I set this up in an apartment I was renting. Only negative is that the “sticky stuff” used to hold up the pieces release after 45 days or so on the bigger pieces

If you buy this product from anyone other than directly from the manufacturer, they will not honor any sort of warranty. I bought mine on a sale before. I actually needed one because it was a good deal. By the time I set it up, I was just passed any return date through Amazon. Initially everything was fine but very soon after I noticed issues with the base station, and issues with the alarm being set to off on its own even though I had armed it. The last issue was when the alarm suddenly went off at 3:00 a.m. Im looking at my phone to see whats going on, confused and scared, and it isnt telling me anything so I call 911. A few minutes later while speaking with the dispatcher the SimpliSafe app lets me know that the panic alarm is what was set off. The panic alarm was sitting on my desk. In a closed room. With no one and nothing inside of it. It just went off by itself, somehow the base station detected that it was set off. Off. Too many issues with reliability and also coupled with the fact that the cellular protection that this company touts will also often disconnect from the base station leaving you with zero protection if your internet isnt working. When I called the company to talk to them about the issues, I was explicitly told that because I bought it on Amazon I would have to just deal with Amazon for a return. Return. Im sorry but the fact that they wont even warranty their products that are sold on Amazon, when they definitely need Amazon as their platform for sales, just shows me what a scumbag company this is. And I wish I never wasted the money.
