Greater than one weekI like everything about the system, noticed several comments about increased monthly cost if you add on apps and camera. The problem I have is I watched a video by lockpickinglawyer. He went right through it.

> 3 daySimplisafe no longer is able to provide any type of notification via sms, email or app push notifications for any system alerts. They stopped supporting this about 3 months ago and are offering no fixes, they just acknowledge that the functionality has stopped. I have made 4 separate calls to their support to attempt and resolve the problem with absolutely no resolution. Before whenever the system was turned off/on, power lost/restored, alarm triggered... you would get an alert either through push notification, sms or email. I have two monitored systems installed and was very happy with function and service up to the point this functionality was lost. Very disappointed, I would look elsewhere for your security solutions to see if the Simplisafe service further deteriorates or if they reactivate this critical function.

> 3 dayWe installed about a week ago and love it. However, the products dont stick well to the windows/doors/walls, so right now, we only half about half still up. We will have to figure out how to secure them better than they provided. Overall still great, just a little frustrating :)

> 3 dayThis company built an adequate system at an apparently competitive price. However, the system basically does not work without the monitoring service. The keypad is extremely basic, with only a 4-digit security code. So you need the app, in order to do anything -- check all sensor status, get alerts. But the app is only enabled if one buys the monitoring service, which is $19 - $24 / month, plus an interactive app fee. The entire proposition ends up being way more expensive -- and inappropriate for many cases. We were simply looking to monitor the exits on our home and hopefully set up some basic automation. It worked beautifully until today when the cat turned on the Home program, and suddenly we received a service call asking for a safety word I had never setup (because... I never set up the monitoring to begin with!). Since I could not produce it, they sent the police to my home -- even though they state that they will not do so, and even though they had already talked to both me and my spouse, on both phones registered with the app. The monitoring call had poor communication (what would we do if we had in fact needed help?) and then the call to the technical support to understand how the monitoring was triggered was unhelpful, after having to wait twice for 10+ minutes on a call, as they were gathering facts about their own service. I finally spoke with a supervisor, who abruptly disconnected from the call the moment it became clear the system was not going to work for us. Even if I needed the service, this is not the level of care I would feel comfortable with. So now I need to dismantle 12 entry sensors and a motion sensor and return, incurring a restocking fee. (I did not purchased on Amazon). The hardware is ok, range seems sufficient for our small split-level home, with sensors set on 3 levels. That was the selling point -- no repeater. However, the keypad is fairly useless and the service is really struggling. They have some work to do.

> 3 dayI was pretty disappointed with this product. It may have been easy to install, but the sensors fell off within the first day of putting them up-- even after following all of the directions! The camera that was meant to be part of the package also didnt come with the package, but once youve begun set-up, pieces are sticking to the wall, so you cant bring everything back. Furthermore, the app is pretty worthless unless you pay for the add-on surveillance. You cant set an alarm remotely unless youre paying. I didnt find that info to be clearly explained in reviews or in the product descriptions. Honestly, Im not sure this product is worth much at all. Def disappointing.

> 3 daySimplisafe is very easy to set up. My Son set it up in about 20 minutes. It works great and has a nice clear picture, easy to arm and unarm. The only thing I was disapointed in was it will not concet to my phone. I have an older smart phone android. It coneccted to my sons new android phone and to my daughter-in-laws iPhone just fine. It is a good thing they live with me. I guess I will have to buy a new phone.

> 3 dayThis system is my first alarm system, but it is versatile for anyone and easy to set up. Only had to call tech support once, and that’s because our little chiweenie triggered the motion detector before live monitoring started, so they had me flip it over (the motion detector, not the dog). With the upgraded monthly monitoring, I love remote arming and checking camera from the app. Notifies me when the kids arm it when they leave or disarm when they’re home from school. If they forget to arm it, I can. Camera (purchased separate but simple to add) seems clear, talk function worked, and events on system trigger a minute recording.

> 3 dayThe cameras are terrible, especially the door camera. Extremely poor quality they’re always off-line. I had to buy two other camera systems for the outside of my house for outdoor cameras because I can’t trust their’s. I’ve called her Tech Support countless times and all Monitoring system good, camera system terribleI get is try this try that all the same stuff I’ve been trying. It’s not my Wi-Fi. I have the best router... I pay for the most expensive data pal . The issue is their cameras are terrible. If cameras are important to you I would get another system.
