> 3 dayThis security system is amazing, so why would I give it a 1-star review? It has pretty awesome hardware, it is very easy to setup and use, and the monitoring service is spot on (called me for every test Ive conducted and called the cops when my husband set the alarm off). The reason for the 1-star review is so that hopefully somebody else who buys this system knows that they should always turn their WiFi off when conducting their system tests. My systems cellular network went out, and because my WiFi was there as a backup, I was none the wiser... that is until today when I unplugged the router in my house and then had to run out to the store to get a cable. I didnt get ANY notification from the mobile application when I set my alarm that it didnt have a connection to the monitoring station. So I went on my merry way and got home to notice that I didnt get the normal push notification that I disarmed my alarm (strangely enough, it did tell me that I armed the device). And then I started investigating... ran a test. Nothing. No call from the call center as I ALWAYS have gotten before. So, believe you me... Im livid. If somebody had decided to break into my house, I would have been completely unprotected. If I did have WiFi on, but the thief has the foresight to turn the power off to my house (its as easy as open the breaker box, and throw all the switches), again, I would not have my security system that ADVERTISES that it uses a cellular network to report the break in. I feel violated! This is a complete and unacceptable breach of trust to their consumers, and I hope that somebody else reads this and understands when theyre getting into. On an side note, I have two systems... one at my home and one at my rental. The rental does not have WiFi and only relies in the cellular signal, and it works just great. So I will be keeping this system (hopefully getting a replacement that works), but I really hope this review let other people know how to test this system to verify they are getting the service they are expecting.

> 3 dayThis is a great product.....if you commit to the monitoring service. Technically the manufacturer could provide cellphone notifications when a sensor is tripped. They do not allow many features (cellphone notifications, Amazon Alexa sync) unless you subscribe to their monitoring service. WRONG

> 3 dayHad trouble with the adhesive on the keypad and the motion sensor and ultimately had to replace the keypad adhesive after one night and ended up screwing the motion sensor to the wall. Overall I still give this a 10/10 recommendation because the system is awesome and gives real time mobile notifications on when the alarm is turned on or off as well as an announcement on the base station. Everything is easily accessible on the app and is very user friendly. Also there is the add on feature where you can add more equipment as you need and the setup is super easy!

15-04-2025Everything seems to work as advertised. Only thing is if you want to use with Google or Alex you have to purchase the monitoring service. It does not say that anywhere in the product information on Amazon, but I should have read more of the reviews as others mentioned you had to buy the monitoring service. I signed up for the monitoring as it said free for 30 days, but it still charged my credit card. Tried contacting Simplisafe through the application and said forwarded to their customer service. That was 3 days ago, so hopefully they will respond.

> 3 dayThis system is my first alarm system, but it is versatile for anyone and easy to set up. Only had to call tech support once, and that’s because our little chiweenie triggered the motion detector before live monitoring started, so they had me flip it over (the motion detector, not the dog). With the upgraded monthly monitoring, I love remote arming and checking camera from the app. Notifies me when the kids arm it when they leave or disarm when they’re home from school. If they forget to arm it, I can. Camera (purchased separate but simple to add) seems clear, talk function worked, and events on system trigger a minute recording.

> 3 dayWe bought this in response to all the advertisements and positive reviews, but have had the opposite experience. Two of our sensors are constantly not responding and then they work again a little while later. One sensor is out of battery already a few months after buying the system. Our camera goes offline all the time and flashes a yellow light. Id spend more money on a hardwired system next time.
