> 3 dayThis thing is a life savor!!! I have some of the most frustrating pets. My cats like to slide my closet door open to sleep on my clothes..always my black wardrobe and my dogs likes to slide the pantry door open to help himself to everything..usually carbs..dog after my own heart! This is a wonderful product! It’s very discreet and can be hidden toward the bottom of the door. We were originally going to have a piece of wood cut, similar to what you’d put in windows to keep people from breaking in, but I’m glad I looked for alternative solutions on amazon because instead of the wood just keeping one side from opening this thing prevents my pets from opening both sides! I did put a big note on my doors temporarily reminding myself and my kids it’s on there to prevent us from just trying to yank the doors open too quickly because it’s not like they’re metal or screwed into the door, but they do seem pretty sturdy.

Greater than one weekI love my cats, but can’t stand them getting into my closet! I tried velcroing the doors shut (only mildly effective), putting something in the sliding track to stop them (rarely worked), putting scary stuff in my closet (mostly resulting in scaring myself). I was so frustrated and randomly searched for something that would stop the closet door from opening. Found these, and for the price had to give it a try for my sanity. Now I never have to worry about coming home and seeing my closet partway open and clothes all over the floor! No more fur on clothes! No more cats getting cozy on expensive shoes! Super easy to install and, more importantly, it actually works! Whoever came up with these, thank you for giving me peace of mind.

Greater than one weekI did try one on and it came off after couple hours. I am hoping it is long lasting but I still dont know because it us my first day of using it. It does hold the door if it stays on. It is great. I tried to open the door and I was afraid it will break but it did not.

> 3 dayive been using these locks for almost six months without any problems! did some poking around for different locks to prevent my very smart, very curious little cat from getting into my closet. he had figured out that if he threw his body loudly and aggressively against the sliding doors, he could bump them enough to create just big enough of a gap, slide in his paw, and slither his way in to munch on all my clothes and shoes--and wake me up repeatedly throughout the night, in the process. these locks have turned out to be a total lifesaver. for security, i attached three of them, and they are so easy to lock/unlock whenever i need human access to my stuff. since i rent my apartment, im relieved to find a solution that i will one day be able to remove (even if it will take a little work). and, the neutral color blends in perfectly with the color of my closet doors. im stocking up on extras in the event they somehow malfunction or eventually un-stick from the doors. but, thus far, they have been incredibly secure.

> 3 dayWe adopted a kitty-cat during the pandemic and found that he is quite adventuresome. He also likes to open our closet doors and get into things in there. This works perfectly by keeping the closet doors locked. It has given me peace of mind so I don’t have to worry about him tearing up my closet.

> 3 dayI got this lock in hopes that it would keep my closet that has sliding doors locked and my cats out of it. It works like a charm! My cats even try to paw and push around the closet doors but the lock wont let them budge.

> 3 dayWe bought these locks to keep our two year old from getting into the backyard because we have a pool outside and do not have a fence around it yet since we just bought our house. These locks work perfectly for keeping her inside. She hasnt figured out how to unlock the sliding glass door yet anyway, however we did not want to take the chance that she would figure it out especially since shes in a toddler bed now. These locks are very durable, our 5 year old boy tries really hard sometimes to open the door when the lock is engaged and he cant pop it off at all. Definitely a must buy for baby and toddler proofing!

Greater than one weekSo, I have 2 cats who cannot help but break into my sliding mirrored door closet. It was becoming a nightmare and then I came across this! Ever since I have made this purchase and put this on my closet door, I have noticed the attempt my cats have made to break in and their epic fails! I havent had to refold anything or hang up my clothes again. They have gotten in once or twice by being persistent but I can deal with that instead of finding them in my closet every day. If you have 2 sneaky and very smart cats then yes, this should do the trick.

> 3 dayI had considered and looked at dowels for the bottom track of the mirrored closet doors but saw this when I was looking for child proofing. It seems to work fine and is much better than having to bend over constantly to remove dowels. I did this because I wanted to make sure a cat could not get in the closet. It is easy to use and there are two per package, so I have an extra just in case. The closet doors are quite lightweight and I would not use it for the double-pane patio doors, although it may work also.
