I was looking for a sliding door lock that would keep my 3 year old from being able to open the door, was easy to install, and wouldnt leave let any damage to the door. This lock checked all those boxes. Its easy tonia tall, simple to use and does exactly what it claims to do. We have been using it for over a month with zero problems. After reading some reviews I made sure to position the lock right against the door so that it wont open at all, rather than a few inches back allowing the door to open a little. I think that is the key to the lock not falling off. I couldnt be happier with this product!

This worked to keep my cats out of the closet. Somehow they learned how to slide the door open. So far it’s working, but it’s cheap plastic that can easily break if not careful when locking and unlocking. It would also be nice to have it in different colors.

For those who have a cat whos learned how to open sliding closet doors (and then climb your clothes with her claws to perch on an upper shelf), the struggle is real. Shes been carefully watching me latch this door lock, but even if she could do it (I wouldnt put it past her), its nicely installed with firm adhesive way out of her reach. If youre tired of claw punctures in your suit jackets, runs in your silk blouses, and tears in your skirts, this will solve your problem.

**UPDATE 6/5/2020** I have to take this down from 5 stars to three. We ended up having two of them rip off (not with us intentionally taking them off) the door and taking the paint off with them. And then when taking off the others the paint came off as well. They served their purpose well, and it could have just been because it’s old paint. But now we have to make sure all that is covered up for our move. -Original- We’ve had these up for a few months now. They work really well, the only issue is sometimes we forget they’re there and try to open then can’t (user error lol.) we got them because our cat had learned how to push open the sliding closet doors and we have smaller things we were afraid he could choke on in there. They do the job so well! Very easy installation. We haven’t had to take them off yet, will update when we do on whether paint comes off with it or not!

We bought these locks to keep our two year old from getting into the backyard because we have a pool outside and do not have a fence around it yet since we just bought our house. These locks work perfectly for keeping her inside. She hasnt figured out how to unlock the sliding glass door yet anyway, however we did not want to take the chance that she would figure it out especially since shes in a toddler bed now. These locks are very durable, our 5 year old boy tries really hard sometimes to open the door when the lock is engaged and he cant pop it off at all. Definitely a must buy for baby and toddler proofing!

The amount of times weve forgotten this was even a thing and tried to whip our slider open is unreal... I didnt see this little guy lasting a day let alone a week but months later its still going strong!

I got these to keep my 20 lb. naughty Ragdoll kitty out of my sliding door closets. I also have a variety of anti-kitty cabinet locks and bungees on cabinets. I almost gave this device a 1 star, because the first time after I installed one, the cat kept banging on the door and managed to jiggle it loose enough to get in. The 2nd. time he banged the door so much he broke wood off of the bottom, but didnt get it open. I guess he decided it was too much work, and now seems to have given it. Was easy to install and it didnt fall off even with kitty banging incessantly on the door. So...for now Ill give it a 4 star!
