I have a 7yr old very strong daughter who is an eloper. I couldnt find the bar lock they used to sell back in the day for our sliding glass doors. I bought thinking it was cheap enough if she breaks it but it was worth a try. Welp, its been weeks of people pulling on the doors forgetting its got a lock and its still holding strong! Definitely worth it!!

If you’re not a parent, I don’t know why you’d want this. It’s actually a little annoying to lock and unlock (not hard once you figure out the ambiguous instructions, just annoying). But for us... our house has become a little chaotic recently. My little one has been opening our sliding closet doors and taking everything off shelves and hangers. She usually then takes clothes out and tosses them or hides them wherever she sees fit. I haven’t recovered some of our missing items but I was able to finally tidy up, add the locks on, and now our clothes are safe again. I highly recommend drawer and cabinet locks, too! One final note - we did have to use both locks on our closet because one alone didn’t feel sturdy enough for our strong child not to break. We put the two about 1.5 ft apart higher up on the closet door. Will try to take/post a photo or video of it if it helps someone out.

As someone else mentioned, theres a pin that the front of this lock rotates around as the lock is engaged/disengaged and it fell out. I was able to feed it back in, but Ill likely need to put a drop of super glue on the bottom to seal it in. The pin itself doesnt seem to need to rotate, so it should be okay to glue, but if the pin falls out this product doesnt work at all, so Ill have to figure something out if that doesnt work (glue a cover to the bottom so the pin doesnt fall out.)

Obviously I don’t expect this to keep a burglar out, I just wanted to keep the toddler in. And it’s doing it’s job! Will definitely buy again if needed in the future.

This simple lock works perfectly to keep my little hooligan of a cat from opening the closet doors anymore! It took about two seconds to put in place and the doors still slide easily when its unlocked. The little monkey will simply have to find trouble elsewhere now.

My cat likes to play in the closet with sliding doors. This worked perfect for keeping him out.

Bubba is my 2 year old son. Bubba gets into everything. Bubba does not stop when you yell no, stop or get away from that. Bubba knows the snacks are in the pantry. Bubba is about 30 inches tall. Thus pantry lock on at 60 inches off the floor. Bubba now asks please.

So Id say Im more tossed up between a 3 and a 4 star review. Id say 4 because it does work! Sticks good, and locks the window and doors in place.... but..... we have these real light weight flimsy fake wood sliding doors in our apartment. And some how my son figured out, if he pulls just right and does it enough times it pops the latch and with one last pull it pops it loose.... so ultimately if there is no slack in your window or door its good. But with some slack and room to slide? Its not that great. Also if someone is super strong they could ultimately break it real easy. But otherwise its a good product. So I rate it 3 and a half.

I thought it was going to be hard to figure out how to set it up but it wasnt. I followed the instructions as well as I watched the video that was posted. I tried it out and then I stuck it down to the glass of the slider. So far my 6 year old grandson hasnt noticed it. I was scared to try it at first because I was going from a bike chain and a lock to this device but what a surprising change. I have since removed the bike chain set up and now I feel in the event of a fire this device would be easier to unlock in a rush. I originally thought it was going to be like a flimsy plastic but its like a rugged, heavy plastic.
