So far it works but Im still very disappointed. If I didnt need these immediately I would return for what I bought before. They are the same unfortunate PC (polycarbonate) instead of Polypropylene. This brand claimed to use PP so I was ready to buy. The other ones I have are the same other than being more inconspicuous. These will draw the attention of my disabled child....they are impossible not to notice if you pay any attention to the door IMO. They are three times the size of the ones I already have and they work fine. This is just unecessary and bad false representation.

Easy to install and successfully kept my cats from opening my sliding closet door. The only improvement to this product I would suggest is having it auto set when your door closes. I didn’t realize at the time of purchase that you have to manually reset the lock so my cats broke into my closet A few times. I added a second protection, by spraying the corners of the closet door with Natures Miracle No More Scratching.

I love this item. Very easy to apply. My two year old son was repeatedly unlocking the sliding glass door and going outside. This little device does a very nice job of preventing him from getting out once he unlocks the door. I have peace of mind knowing that my son will not sneak outside without my knowledge. You can activate the lock by simply flipping the device to the lock position, which makes the door unable to slide open. If you want to open the door, simply pull out on the tab and the device flattens....allowing the door to slide open as usual. It dos not catch or make it any more difficult to open. This is a must have item for people with small children or just added security preventing intruders from entering your home.

Im sure these would work well on sliding patio doors because Ive used similar products as a deterrent, but we use these on sliding closet doors to keep the cat out. Easy to install and easy to use.

For those who have a cat whos learned how to open sliding closet doors (and then climb your clothes with her claws to perch on an upper shelf), the struggle is real. Shes been carefully watching me latch this door lock, but even if she could do it (I wouldnt put it past her), its nicely installed with firm adhesive way out of her reach. If youre tired of claw punctures in your suit jackets, runs in your silk blouses, and tears in your skirts, this will solve your problem.

My cats can open anything, including sliding closet doors. This simple product has made life easier. I wish Id found it a year ago! Very easy to install and easy to open, once you practice a couple of times. Now I need to find something for the file cabinet.
