> 24 hourAs an Automotive Technician, light is key to doing anything involving inspections, repairs, and maintenance. This light makes it easy to see things otherwise difficult with lower a lumen light. I use this light all day, every day, dropped it countless times, and it keeps working. There are three brightness settings: low, medium, and high. This light is so bright the other techs at my shop have light envy. Pros: Very bright - 500 lumens, while not the brightest Streamlight, it is small and easy to carry ( I use the leather basket-weave holster). Three modes to conserve battery life. It has a rechargeable lithium ion battery good for 1500 charges. It also sports a tail cap switch, just where I like it. The charger is mountable and holds the flashlight securely, and the D/C power cord is nice when you need to charge on the go. Cons: No piggyback charger for second battery, you have to charge your spare battery in the flashlight. Only one hour of battery life on its highest setting (500 lumens), but this is a sacrifice due to the size of the flashlight. The pros (for me) definitely outweigh the cons on this mighty little light. If you need a rugged, compact, ultra bright flashlight, search no further and buy this one.

> 24 hourI bought my first strion hl several years ago, and its been a work horse. Its been knocked around a bit and is still going strong. We needed a second light (walking dogs at night in a very dark area) and by mistake I decided to try something different for one reason. I ordered a pelican 7070R that had a battery life indicator on it. the only single drawback with the strion is that it works, is bright as can be, but when the battery dies....it dies. the light does not get dim when the battery goes weak, it goes from bright to off, with no warning. The pelican was horrible. it barely held its charge and needed to be recharged much more frequently than the strion. after about two years the pelican was shot (I suspect battery failure). I just ordered a second strion hl. I know if I charge it on Sundays its good for the week, and really regret I ever wandered and tried the other light. I know I can go longer than 7 days between charges. but I think two weeks would be stretching it, and this pattern works out well for us. The strion also has flat edges around the bezel which is great for laying on a surface when working on something, and it does not roll away. it stays where you put it. My only minor complaint is that a battery life indicator would have been nice, but when I got the other light that had one, it was useless. It would stay green for one use, then maybe two more it would start flashing red which was the final warning before it died. when the other light died the first thing my wife said was get another one of these which was the light that was older and still working fine.

> 24 hourI had been buying the Strion LED versions since I lose these all the time, and this time I bought the LED HL. The LED HL is much better. I also have the full size Stinger HPL. The Stinger is a little brighter overall but the center part of the beam is much brighter than the outside of the beam. This Strion gives a very even light pattern which I think is better. Likely the Strion will stay on my belt and the Stinger will stay in the car.

> 24 hourI just got the flashlight. It was not a cheap purchase so in my opinion it better work awesome for a long time. I plan to put it through a decade or more of abuse. Wondered if I will be asked to review it again in 10 years?

> 24 hourEl producto es necesario para mi trabajo, pero solo con la certeza de que va a durar por al menos a year y no dos meses que solo duro la primera streamlight que compre. Ahora compre otra y estamos hablando de $ 112.00 dollares aproximadamente, no son 3 dollares. Si existe alguna possibilidad de algun reemplazo , se lo voy a agradecer. Gracias

> 24 hourMy husband has had a few of these, he has ran over them with forklifts, I have washed them (both washer and dryer), plus the day to day beating that they take and they still keep shining! The ONLY reason we have had to buy a total of 3 is because of getting lost/stolen/left behind situations. I am sure whomever found the other two (assuming they have a way to charge it) still have functioning perfectly bright flashlights!

> 24 hourAmazing light output! It can actually be a little much in some circumstances. I use this light everyday at work (as a police officer). I have only experienced one issue with this, which I also experienced with the regular Strion LED that I had prior to this light. The issue occurs when using this light for an extended time period (around 10 minutes straight). It seems that when the light gets too hot, the electronics shut it off. For most circumstances, this isnt an issue. If you are going to be using this light for extended time periods, I would recommend finding another light. Even with the type of work I do, I hardly ever use it for that long at a time. As with any light, always carry a second light if it is crucial to what you are doing.

> 24 hourThis type of tactical law enforcement flashlight is what my father recommended to me if I was going to ride a motorcycle at night. He was right in his assessment of this flashlight. Its very bright and I like it alot and now I have three of them. its very expensive but I understand the reason why cuz its a lifetime flashlight. You can recharge it yourself. You dont need to continue buying batteries for it. Great little flashlight!!!

> 24 hourI like this light. Especially considering I carried the original Strion for a long time until it stopped working. So I upgraded to this brighter version. It is very bright, but I miss the longer life of my older model. I understand that with more power your trade off is less battery life, but it gives me flashlight anxiety! This one drains much and I mean much faster than the original strion. I find it going out on me so often that if I went back to full time night shift I would have to try another model because it wouldnt last a shift. I understand that this is meant for lighter duty than the larger lights and I appreciate the convince of on the belt carry, but I feel like my older strain could have handled a whole night shift. I run this light like its on a prepaid data plan!
