> 3 dayI retired my Strion LED that I had for four years and upgraded it with the Strion HL. Dont worry, the Strion LED is at home and still working good as new (even after uncountable drops and rolling off several car hoods and smashing into the concrete.) I thought the regular Strion LED was bright... until I had the Strion HL in my hand. The products description of battery life is accurate. The switch has a nice click sound and feel that lets you know the light has been activated. The battery charger has a good secure fit and works quickly. BUYER BEWARE, this light is extreamly bright and will leave you seeing spots if you stare into the light bulb. (Why would you do this? Good question.) The quality appears the same as the Strion LED and I have no worries with the product lasting or Streamlight standing by their tools. No regrets on this purchase.

> 3 dayIve had the light for a little over 2 years and its been great. This last tour, had a call that required decon. I got back to the station, took off my uniform and put it right in the wash. I realized 3 hours later that I left the light on my uniform. Took it out and it worked perfectly. Thats a tough, QUALITY product.

> 3 day500 lumens. Assembled in the USA. The battery pack is made in China but the internal cells are made in Japan. The only complaint is that this does not have a hole for lanyard. The paint is extremely robust; I tried to inscribe my initials but I had to use metal pick and took several paths before the bare metal was shown. UPDATE (10/30/16): Lately, ther are a number of LED flashlights boasting 1000 lumens or higher. It is actually nothing more than advertisement and the actual output is far less than 1000 lumens. How do I know? Well, I compare those 1000+ lumens LED lights with the Strion and it has been outperforming just about all of them. Incidentally, 99% of them are made in China, and the exact same products are sold under many different names. A genuine U.S made high-power LED flashlight at $100 (give/take a few more dollars) is a serious bargain. The only downside is the battery, which is made in China (cells are made in different countries in Asia but final assembly is in China). My prejudice tells me that the only LED flashlights that can actually outperform the Strion are mid to high-end Surefire products, but their price is out of the roof (Surefire Beast was approx $1500-$2000 in Japan).

> 3 dayMy husband has had a few of these, he has ran over them with forklifts, I have washed them (both washer and dryer), plus the day to day beating that they take and they still keep shining! The ONLY reason we have had to buy a total of 3 is because of getting lost/stolen/left behind situations. I am sure whomever found the other two (assuming they have a way to charge it) still have functioning perfectly bright flashlights!

> 3 dayNeeded a better flashlight than I had for walking at night with an old dog with vision problems. I wasn’t sure the 615 lumens this produces would be sufficient. It is, in spades. Sometimes it’s too bright but it can be adjusted down. Compact and sturdily constructed. Lights up the night. If the battery holds up as advertised, this flashlight will have been a bargain but I’ve only had it a week so only time will tell.

> 3 dayI bought this to use primarily as a flashlight on my travel trailer. The running joke whenever we go camping is “did you remember the $130 flashlight?” Because to most people it’s a little ridiculous to spend $130 on a flashlight....and they’re probably right. BUT I have a problem with gadgets and I always want to get the best one. Let me say, I think that’s true for this flashlight. I know there’s a ton of flashlights out there that have different uses, but I’d label this the perfect “all around” flashlight. It’s got a great light spread, not too focused and not spread so much that it loses brightness. When compared to a $10 flashlight, the brightness is night and day. The bright setting is almost too bright if you’re in a dark, enclosed space. I also love that this flashlight is rechargeable. I will be honest I haven’t used one cycle completely. I charged it out of the box and haven’t had to charge it again, but I haven’t used it a ton. My fear is that when I go to use it, it will be dead. But that hasn’t happened yet. Maybe a battery indicator would be a good add on especially for all the money I paid for the thing. It’s also super solid feeling. The housing is a nice metal of some sort and the button feels firm. In conclusion, is the $130 justifiable? Who knows, but will you feel confident your flashlight is the coolest? Absolutely!

> 3 dayI have multiple Streamlight products, so I had high expectations for the Strion rechargable LED, and I am not disappointed. The flashlight is extremely bright for its size and fits perfectly in your hand. The button cap controls are intuitive and easy to operate (I cant say this for some other brands of tactical-style flashlights I own). My only complaints are minor ones: First, I was really looking forward to having the car charger, so that the flashlight could be recharged on camping trips. I was disappointed to find, however, that using the car charging cord requires the use of the charging bracket, which I intend to mount to the wall in the laundry room. I guess I was expecting that it would be a cord capable of clipping onto the light and charging it independent of the wall charger. I will look into getting a second wall bracket so I can utilize the car charger separately. My other observation is really minor, and that is about the way the bracket mounts to the wall. Given the force it takes to pull the flashlight from the bracket, I want to make sure the screws hit a stud in the wall. The bracket, however, is made such that the screws are on the horizontal axis (if you mount it so the flashlight lens is up, as they recommend) not the vertical axis, so that it would be easy to screw into a single stud. Additionally the holes are too far apart for the two screws to hit one stud. It is a minor annoyance for me, and perhaps there is a compelling reason why it is designed that way, but its one of those things that leaves me scratching my head. All that being said, however, this light and its accessories are extremely well made, and I wouldnt hesitate to buy another. Updated note: So I guess I should have done more research to know exactly what I was getting (but this was an Amazon lighting deal so I still came out OK price-wise). I now see that this flashlight is available in a different set, which includes the two charger cords and two holders. The regular price on Amazon for this option seems to be better than if you purchase the second base separately. Still very happy with my purchase, however.

> 3 dayI just got the flashlight. It was not a cheap purchase so in my opinion it better work awesome for a long time. I plan to put it through a decade or more of abuse. Wondered if I will be asked to review it again in 10 years?
