Best light ever, fits very well in the pockets and great for edc. This light has came in handy so many times, and with plenty of power. I liked that it is rechargeable, it saved me a lot from buying batteries. This could compare to bigger lights, but in a pocket sized light. If you are having trouble with with it not charging, just clean out the charging input on the light. I used a qtip to clean it out, and it worked perfectly. The only con I have is that after a while of use, it seems to get hot to where you have to let it cool down before you could use it again. Overall, I would recommend buying this light if you are looking for something that is easy carry for everyday life.

Ive owned a number of professional flashlights over the years. My fascination with these products started while I was involved as a Sheriffs deputy in search and rescue at night on partially frozen lakes. What a difference a decent light makes for your own safety and finding what youre looking for! Hand-held flashlights have certainly come a long way since the days of the incandescent bulb and the much improved Xenon bulbs. LEDs are the way to go (although HID has applications in certain applications requiring extraordinary power). This light is the latest edition of the duty light being carried by many professional users that like the Streamlight brand. It represents a substantial upgrade over the Streamlight Stinger product line in that the Strion product line uses Lithium Ion battery technology instead of the Nickle Metal Hydride technology used in the Stinger. The result is higher energy density which translates into more or longer light production for a given battery weight. L-Ion batteries also perform better at extremely low temperatures and dont self-discharge anywhere nearly as fast as most NiMiH batteries. So if youre leaving it off the charger for an extended period youre more likely to have a useable light 3 months later. The other important feature of this light is a newer generation of LED that produces 500 lumens on the highest of the 3 settings. This flashlight puts out more light than the headlights on my first car I bought back in the 70s. The beam is a moderately wide spot with a fair amount of light spillage outside the central beam. I find it a very useful pattern as it can be used to search out to 200 - 300 feet while spilling enough light so you can see where youre about to put your feet as you walk along with the central beam pointed forward. The tailcap switch works well once you get used to it. You can use the switch for a moment with a half-press or lock it on with a full press. It even has a strobe feature if you quickly double-click the tailswitch. Its a curiosity for me, but might be useful in certain law-enforcement situations. Unlike the old days where you had to remove the flashlight from your belt holster loop in order to sit in a vehicle, this light is small enough to stay in the holster. Yet it provides much more light than my first Xenon Streamlight. You can even carry it in a normal pants or jacket pocket. Size matters and this is the flashlight I use the most. (By the way, a holster is NOT included. I bought one from NiteIze that works fairly well.) The light comes with a nice secure snap-in AC/DC charger too. Its great if you dont want to fiddle with plugging in USB cables or need to mount in in a car/boat/ATV and not worry about it flying out of the charger when you hit a bump or jump a wave.

I was debating between the Stinger and the strion, but after comparing everything I was on the fence about which one to purchase, as much time as I spend in a vehicle this strion light is shorter in length so it is much more comfortable and easier to maneuver around, also this strion is a lithium ion battery not an nicad or nickel metal hydrate. Cost really didnt play much of a role because they were close enough for the extra lumens in the stinger, but I chose this strion for all around use especially from a vehicle. I also use it as a vehicle spotlight because our vehicle does not have a spotlight in it. I can light up an area to positively identify objects from more than 75 yards away so no vehicle spotlight needed. Love this light... Love this light!

I bought this light to take the place of my Streamlight Stinger LED at work. I work in an automotive shop and the Stinger was a little big to be completely portable. I wanted a light to wear on my belt in a holster so I always had it on me. I bought this Strion light with a leather open top belt holster and could not be happier with the set up. This little light is very bright and quality made. I would highly recommend this light to anyone that is an auto mechanic. Update 2022: So, I have had this light for 9 years now and I changed professions to a computer programmer in 2015, so I went from all day use and abuse to just occasional use at home. The things I can say about this light is that it is super bright, but you dont want to keep it on the high setting all the time, it will drain the battery fairly quickly. This light has held up to wear and tear in an automotive environment, dropping it has not phased it. In 2021, I started having problems with the light. The light would no longer respond to the switch, it would stay on all the time and would cycle through the three brightness settings. I had to remove the battery to shut it off. I did some research and found that the actual led unit was the issue, so I searched for a replacement. I had some trouble finding an exact replacement for the HL version, but I finally found one at brightguy (STR747603) for ~ $30 with shipping. The unit was easy to replace, and my light is back to normal now. I am still using the original battery that came with the light in 2013, which is pretty impressive. Even though the led unit failed, this is still an awesome light, I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

Great light, love mine, everyone at the shop uses it, I have 2 of these and this is my new one, I have another one for work and you could drop this thing in oil, run it over, shove it down someones throat and it would still work- 10/10
