This is my second Strion and I really love them! Bright focused beam with a long throw and a wide angle up close. Holds a charge forever when not using the light. Battery lasts a decent amount of time during continuous use

Fantastic flashlight I use it all the time and charge it very little. However it does not fit the Standard stream light flashlight holster very well.

Ive had a Stiron for about 5 years of hard and constant use, and its hands down one one of the best lights Ive ever owned. Great mix between spot and flood, bright white light, very durable, and the battery life is almost unbelievable. I Just recently replaced it after I dropped the old one down an elevator shaft and it worked 95% for about a half a year after that but that 5-6 story fall did something and I couldnt trust it for on duty use anymore. Could have probably gone longer to be honest but my life depends on my gear being at 100% so I replaced it. I keep a Stinger in my duty bag and the Stiron is always on my person. Cannot recommend Streamlight enough

Fantastic flashlight! Im an airline pilot and was looking for a portable, discreet flashlight that can easily be put in a full flight bag, yet has a high power, quality beam for doing walk arounds. The Streamlight 74751 far and away exceeded my expectations (and they were high, after reading reviews). The flashlight has a very powerful (yet adjustable) beam in a very small, compact design (fits easily in pant pockets). Some of the main benefits that I think stand out and should be mentioned are: - Very powerful beam, especially considering its its very compact size! (the entire light easily fits inside a pocket, unless you wear skinny jeans) - Metal housing, yet is lighter than it looks. - 3 beam brightness settings, in addition to a strobe setting. - Pressing the power button lightly (without clicking it on) turns on the light temporarily (momentary switch), then immediately turns off when you lift your finger off the button. I find this a fantastic feature for walk arounds when youre in and out of dark spots you need to illuminate, without the constant wear and tear of clicking on and off. The box includes the flashlight, recharging base (clamps the flashlight onto the charging contacts), AC power adapter (to charge at home, etc), and a DC car power outlet adapter. The latter 2 adapters plug into a universal socket on the recharging base. All in all, a fantastic flashlight that I highly recommend. Couldnt be happier with my purchase. The only down side is possibly the price, but then again, you do get what you pay for (which Ive found out several times over with other flashlights).

16 years ago I purchased my first two xenon Streamlight Stingers. Last year I updated to the LED age and purchased three new HL Stingers for work and home use, and one Survivor for emergency. I thought I would add to my collection this month by purchasing a LED Polystinger and a Strion LED HL. I have read so much pro and con for the Strion from multiple sites - but I couldnt stop my personal desire to have a Strion handy for my civilian, (non work or home projects related) usage. Granted my Strion purchase was a return caught from Amazon warehouse - of which I have never had an issue buying from there. Well, this Strion is my first ever warehouse lemon. I took it out of its repackaging, and observed the orange inspection sticker (pffft!). I clicked the light into the charger and plugged into my wall outlet. The Strion immediately began to strobe blink a very faint light. I remember reading some of the cons comments on Amazon and other sites, and said to myself So this is what some people are complaining about! The blinking light, the recharging issue, etc! I unplugged and replugged, and still the same. I immediately removed all items from my wall and repacked into the Amazon bag and box and requested a full refund, which - for now - seems like its going to be honored. Amazon, who the heck inspected this warehouse return??? And in the same regard, how this light ever make its way off the original assembly line for Streamlight customers??? So what am I saying? Im saying that I have purchased 8 Streamlight flashlights in the past 16 years. I have only ever had a problem with one of them. The other seven have been flawless performers for me. This one failure is such a worrisome problem, that I am returning it immediately. A blinking light, while charging? Bad circuitry with these powerful rechargable batteries and high heat lamps could lead to some serious property damage or personal injury (think early iPhone 4s, Hoverboards and now Galaxy Notes 7s). And, this is the one Streamlight that I have read the most consistent cons about, in spite of its FANTASTIC features and finish (yes Strion looks and feels lightweight, tough and bad assed!). I was really psyched up to carry around this beautifully crafted, light throwing device for my everyday self-protection and safety. However, based on this one bad experience - there definitely appears to be a quality control issue with this particular Strion LED, HL model. Some of us working professionals lives depend on these devices, so this needs to get fixed Streamlight. Lastly, Streamlight, I am obviously very disappointed, to say the least. Your other models have kicked butt for me, and Im sure I will continue to buy some of your products in the future. Just not a Strion LED, HL for right now. Not until you have worked out some issues. Smh.

Very well built, sturdy, and bright light but I am disappointed in the battery life. These lights tend to only last about a half hour or less on the brightest setting and take about 4-5 hours to fully charge. They also get very hot when left on for a short period of time which is a little concerning. Other than that, very easy to use and very bright. Ergonomic design as well.

As an Automotive Technician, light is key to doing anything involving inspections, repairs, and maintenance. This light makes it easy to see things otherwise difficult with lower a lumen light. I use this light all day, every day, dropped it countless times, and it keeps working. There are three brightness settings: low, medium, and high. This light is so bright the other techs at my shop have light envy. Pros: Very bright - 500 lumens, while not the brightest Streamlight, it is small and easy to carry ( I use the leather basket-weave holster). Three modes to conserve battery life. It has a rechargeable lithium ion battery good for 1500 charges. It also sports a tail cap switch, just where I like it. The charger is mountable and holds the flashlight securely, and the D/C power cord is nice when you need to charge on the go. Cons: No piggyback charger for second battery, you have to charge your spare battery in the flashlight. Only one hour of battery life on its highest setting (500 lumens), but this is a sacrifice due to the size of the flashlight. The pros (for me) definitely outweigh the cons on this mighty little light. If you need a rugged, compact, ultra bright flashlight, search no further and buy this one.

Easily one of the more versatile lights Ive ever bought before even mentioning that the rechargeable pack means never having to hope that the local store has CR123s in stock. I owned one of these since they first came out and after losing it in a frozen lake (retrieved it two weeks later), running over it once after doing some emergency work on my car at 2am, firing thousands of rounds from multiple rifles with it mounted above my thumb, and dropping it hundreds of times and after five years plus I had to replace it after it was dropped by a co worker down a 450ft+ mine elevator shaft. Honestly, if we had been able to find it I have no doubt Streamlight wouldve taken it in for service and returned it good as new, if it wouldve been necessary. As it stands though, I definitely got my moneys worth and I know the replacement will serve me just as well as the first one did.

I work in a prison, so a small flashlight is invaluable. This is the fourth flashlight Ive bought while trying to find one I liked, and I feel that I hit pay dirt. If this one breaks, however unlikely that may be, Ill get another one in a heart beat. Pros: - Omg, bright. So much light out of such a small light. On its brightest setting, it will light up a dark area like nothing else. During a recent blackout, it seemed to outperform the headlights and spotlights on one of the patrol vehicles. - Its extremely durable. Im clumsy, and this one has taken a couple nasty bounces off the concrete. Still going. - The lowest setting is still reasonably bright, and allows several hours of use at that setting. - The charger can be used in a vehicle, which is my favorite thing about this. My commute is just over an hour, and between driving home and coming back to work the following day, I can have my light fully charged and ready to go without even taking it in the house. Cons: - Price, I guess? Its a lot to pay for a flashlight, but considering how much it gets used, and the quality of it, Id say its more than worth it. So, its a great little light. If you depend on a flashlight for work or, as in my case, your safety, this ones a good bet.

I have had the pleasure of using the Strion in Law Enforcement. The fact that it is rechargeable is cool BUT The brightness is brain-numbing so be careful! There are three levels and a feature to get Emergency attention ( it would be nice if it was an SOS signal but it is not). Its lightweight but sturdy enough to break glass and does not easily slip out of your hands. Sure you can go to Autozone and get a basic Flashlight but invest in a Strion and you will never buy theirs again I promise.
