> 3 dayI bought this light to take the place of my Streamlight Stinger LED at work. I work in an automotive shop and the Stinger was a little big to be completely portable. I wanted a light to wear on my belt in a holster so I always had it on me. I bought this Strion light with a leather open top belt holster and could not be happier with the set up. This little light is very bright and quality made. I would highly recommend this light to anyone that is an auto mechanic. Update 2022: So, I have had this light for 9 years now and I changed professions to a computer programmer in 2015, so I went from all day use and abuse to just occasional use at home. The things I can say about this light is that it is super bright, but you dont want to keep it on the high setting all the time, it will drain the battery fairly quickly. This light has held up to wear and tear in an automotive environment, dropping it has not phased it. In 2021, I started having problems with the light. The light would no longer respond to the switch, it would stay on all the time and would cycle through the three brightness settings. I had to remove the battery to shut it off. I did some research and found that the actual led unit was the issue, so I searched for a replacement. I had some trouble finding an exact replacement for the HL version, but I finally found one at brightguy (STR747603) for ~ $30 with shipping. The unit was easy to replace, and my light is back to normal now. I am still using the original battery that came with the light in 2013, which is pretty impressive. Even though the led unit failed, this is still an awesome light, I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

Greater than one weekThis flashlight is a little beast. My friend has the larger model which made me give this a try. Both are top of the line items. Battery life estimates are quite accurate. All modes function properly even after months of use/wear and tear on my duty belt. Dropped it several times on pavement and other hard surfaces, no issues. One thing I found odd was the charger. Seems cheaply made. Just a little gray clippy thing with a small red led light. First few times I put it on the charger the led light took several minutes to turn on, as if there was a poor connection. Now, after a few months, it turns on immediately and functions as described in the directions. One thing I love about it though, is that you can charge this flashlight constantly without burning up the battery or the charger. The charger is also silent, which I find impressive given how quickly it charges and how powerful the flashlight is for its size. All in all I am 100% satisfied with this product. I would HIGHLY recommend the....Strike BTL Quick Cam Roto-Loc Articulating Tactical Holster for Basic Tactical Lights...it fits this flashlight perfectly and I have little doubt its one of the best quality holsters of any style/use.

> 3 dayIm a nightshift Patrol Officer and got tired of wasting money on flashlights that would work a short while and then leave me in the dark. I NEED my light to be dependable ALL the time EVERY time. I wish I had bought this light sooner because I would be money ahead. This light is a nice size to slide into my pant pocket as a backup light. I bought the Stinger HL for my primary. The Strion has a really nice beam pattern and floods a car well on traffic stops. It is a little bit short to hold under your arm and uniform covers it sometimes so I like the Stinger better on stops. I like the switch on the tailcap and it works as it is designed .... but.... I prefer an on demand level selection instead of the press and hold to change brightness. As in you have to hold switch down for a couple seconds and wait for the level to change. I would rather just bump the switch and get what I need immediately. I do like how you just double click for strobe and its there right now instead of having to cycle through to find it. Ive been using it on Duty and off for about a month and I really like it so far. Battery life is good and plenty bright for all around patrol work. It is a little pricey but I think worth it after all the money Ive blown past years on junk. I feel like it should be more around an even 100.00 for what it is but Im happy with what I got for my $$$. It seems tough enough also. Ive dropped it several times with no ill effect. It is the PERFECT off duty EDC light. slides right in my back pocket next to my wallet. I plan to buy a couple more to mount in permanent locations in my house and cars. I give it 5 stars because my gripes are just MY personal preferences and not a flaw in material or quality.

> 3 dayThis type of tactical law enforcement flashlight is what my father recommended to me if I was going to ride a motorcycle at night. He was right in his assessment of this flashlight. Its very bright and I like it alot and now I have three of them. its very expensive but I understand the reason why cuz its a lifetime flashlight. You can recharge it yourself. You dont need to continue buying batteries for it. Great little flashlight!!!

> 3 dayThe only dislike is when the battery loses power, there is no warning. Will need to carry extra battery while using. I don’t seem to get the 8 hrs of battery life.

> 3 dayVery well built, sturdy, and bright light but I am disappointed in the battery life. These lights tend to only last about a half hour or less on the brightest setting and take about 4-5 hours to fully charge. They also get very hot when left on for a short period of time which is a little concerning. Other than that, very easy to use and very bright. Ergonomic design as well.

> 3 dayBought this in 2014 for site work in Wuhan. Still use it for deer hunting to track a wounded animal at night or monitor varmints and critters around campsite at dinner time. It has been dropped on hard ground a few times, yet it has worked flawlessly since day 1.
