Excellent light for patrol use. Long battery life for its size and quick recharge.

I use on a semi, i bought because i lost supplier of switches, then i found on amazon. Now i have two working units. FYI, for years i would buy new tail on and off switch, then a cop told me his light, he just screws off end and cleans contact between spring and battery. Damn that works too. I have 5 switches. Over 10 years. This light is very good, will take double the money to get afew percentages better . Not worth chaseing a few extra lumins,

I just bought my second Streamlight Strion flashlight. Im a self-employed home inspector and use it every day. I bought my first one over 10 years ago and it still works like new. Just wanted a back-up and the 12-volt charger that came with it for use in my truck. Very compact, super bright, and hasnt broken after many drops. I love my Streamlights!!

I have multiple Streamlight products, so I had high expectations for the Strion rechargable LED, and I am not disappointed. The flashlight is extremely bright for its size and fits perfectly in your hand. The button cap controls are intuitive and easy to operate (I cant say this for some other brands of tactical-style flashlights I own). My only complaints are minor ones: First, I was really looking forward to having the car charger, so that the flashlight could be recharged on camping trips. I was disappointed to find, however, that using the car charging cord requires the use of the charging bracket, which I intend to mount to the wall in the laundry room. I guess I was expecting that it would be a cord capable of clipping onto the light and charging it independent of the wall charger. I will look into getting a second wall bracket so I can utilize the car charger separately. My other observation is really minor, and that is about the way the bracket mounts to the wall. Given the force it takes to pull the flashlight from the bracket, I want to make sure the screws hit a stud in the wall. The bracket, however, is made such that the screws are on the horizontal axis (if you mount it so the flashlight lens is up, as they recommend) not the vertical axis, so that it would be easy to screw into a single stud. Additionally the holes are too far apart for the two screws to hit one stud. It is a minor annoyance for me, and perhaps there is a compelling reason why it is designed that way, but its one of those things that leaves me scratching my head. All that being said, however, this light and its accessories are extremely well made, and I wouldnt hesitate to buy another. Updated note: So I guess I should have done more research to know exactly what I was getting (but this was an Amazon lighting deal so I still came out OK price-wise). I now see that this flashlight is available in a different set, which includes the two charger cords and two holders. The regular price on Amazon for this option seems to be better than if you purchase the second base separately. Still very happy with my purchase, however.

I retired my Strion LED that I had for four years and upgraded it with the Strion HL. Dont worry, the Strion LED is at home and still working good as new (even after uncountable drops and rolling off several car hoods and smashing into the concrete.) I thought the regular Strion LED was bright... until I had the Strion HL in my hand. The products description of battery life is accurate. The switch has a nice click sound and feel that lets you know the light has been activated. The battery charger has a good secure fit and works quickly. BUYER BEWARE, this light is extreamly bright and will leave you seeing spots if you stare into the light bulb. (Why would you do this? Good question.) The quality appears the same as the Strion LED and I have no worries with the product lasting or Streamlight standing by their tools. No regrets on this purchase.

I am a police officer and actually use this light as my primary. Im very proactive and have had to charge this light only once a week. After initially stopping a vehicle or pedestrian, I will turn down the light to its lowest setting. I have the small streamlight that I put in my breast pocket just in case my light dies as well as our department issued streamlight I keep in the trunk, but so far, I havent had to use them. One issue is trying to hold the light under the arm while writing. It takes a while getting used to and you have to keep pushing it down or it ends up shining right in the eye of the person you are talking to. I like the smaller flashlight as my primary. Obviously, if you want your light to serve as an impact weapon this wont be the light for you, but honestly who are we kidding? 99.9% of the time you are using that thing to knock on doors. Be careful with the car charger plug. The top unscrews to access a fuse. Horrible design. When does the 12v in a car short out? The plug end will unscrew on you and you will lose the ability to charge your light. Throw a needle point amount of super glue to keep that thing from coming off. Overall, this light has been a great primary light for me.. glad I bought it.

Ive had a Stiron for about 5 years of hard and constant use, and its hands down one one of the best lights Ive ever owned. Great mix between spot and flood, bright white light, very durable, and the battery life is almost unbelievable. I Just recently replaced it after I dropped the old one down an elevator shaft and it worked 95% for about a half a year after that but that 5-6 story fall did something and I couldnt trust it for on duty use anymore. Could have probably gone longer to be honest but my life depends on my gear being at 100% so I replaced it. I keep a Stinger in my duty bag and the Stiron is always on my person. Cannot recommend Streamlight enough
