> 24 hourFound this to be superior to what I was using. (Lead Free Chip Quik(r) Seems cleaner and I get a more even coating over the tip. Good stuff. 73 djd

> 24 hourI bought two which will likely last several lifetimes. Theres not much else to say. You scrape your hot iron over the material in the tin and wipe it off in the wire mesh tip cleaner attached to (or near) your soldering station.

> 24 hourPrevious tip tinners I have owned came compacted into a puck in the container as to reduce mess or spilling. While I received the product with most of the product compacted into a puck, there was a decent amount of the tinner that was powderized, presumably due to rough shipping. It works very well, and it doesnt affect the usability, just something to be aware of to not spill if you received some powderized tinner in the container.

> 24 hourIve never used tinner before, but it seems to work well. It cleans up my cheap irons tip to look good again.

> 24 hourExcellent renewal of old tip. Quickly brought tip back to nice, shiny tin. As good as new.

> 24 hourDoes a great job of increasing the life of soldering pen tips. I apply this tinning paste at a higher temperature than regular soldering with 60/40.

> 24 hourThe problem is the that tinning material is too far down from the edge, the container which is only about half full. This means you have to dip your gun or iron down into the container. This is no problem with a gun but a major issue with an iron (at least most). If you try to drag the iron across the material, the tip will hit the edge of the container and you cannot get a flat enough angle. I am tempted to cut around the container to make the material flush with the top but not sure if the tin needs to be sealed between uses. But, will do anyway, I will just put it in a plastic box. However, the actual tinning substance in the container is fabulous, couldnt believe it and I have been soldering for sixty years!

> 24 hourSomehow I couldnt make it work. I believe its a good product but I probably did something wrong. I have this tip that just never accepted tin and I thought this would handle it but it didnt. It might just be a bad tip.
