Works great for old tips or burnt tips.

I accidentally left my soldering iron on overnight and the tip was heavily oxidized. I figured it was ruined. Instead of just replacing it (at about $5/ea) I dipped it into this tip tinner a couple of times, used the brass pads to wipe it off and re-tinned it. GOOD AS NEW! I wish I had discovered this stuff years ago. I would recommend it and would buy it again. Great product!

I got a new solder kit and the tips had oxidized on the first day. I didnt want to buy a new tip, so i got this instead. This tip tinner renewed my solder tip.

had a tip that just would tin, and one or two dips improved the adhesion. still have to use it ocassionally but it works well

Easy to open and easy to use, lightweight, no mess, however it does produce fumes when in use that could be toxic, but so does solder. with the right precautions (good ventilation or a fume extractor or maybe just a mask) you should be ok.

I never used solder tinner like this. I thought it would be different. I see no point in this. I can just put solder on my iron to tin it. lol

Use it for work to help me tin my soldering iron for better solder welds.. Works as it was expected to work and get clean solder joints.

This stuff is great, one dip and your iron is instantly Tinned and ready to go or to store away. Only downside is the tin is rather small.
