Thermaltronics TMT-TC-2 Tip Tinner (20g) in 0.8oz Container

I like that this product helps keep my soldering iron tip clean.

Been using this for a long time and has always worked good for me.

Ive been a tech for 20 years, having never encountered this product. Its surprising that just a touching the irons tip to this stuff leaves it shiny tinned. Great product!

This stuff is like magic! keeps your tips nice and clean for longer. Although the amount of paste is small it will go a long way. Also very useful to restore old solder tips which are unable to get solder to stick. I would love it if this brand made a larger size.

I can not phyiscally tilt my soldering iron to cover the whole tip all that well. It will work, but not that well. I like to dip it in; rotate it around; and stick the tip again for very heavy dirty solder tips. Otherwise I just dab the tip in the tinner; give it a quick wiggle from side to side and it seems to work for me. Although I will admit that it seems [even with flux included in the wire] I must give the tip of my iron a quick dip into the tinner for each solder point I do. Tedious yes!; but it certainly will conduct the heat better to put the solder where you want it far more effectively. Other than dipping it into the tinner for every solder point [I dont think Im that bad of a solderer], and the container being too small; it is a good product. I of course would consider buying it again.

This is a must have if using a soldering iron. I even got away with only using this for some electronic components in the guitar I was upgrading pickups in, as in I would tin the tip and use that to tin the wires and pins on the pickup selector switch. It made keeping the iron clean as well. Would highly recommend!

Wow. This worked really well!! My only issue is how small it was.

The cap is too loose, easy to spill the contents.

Ive used other amonia tip tinners, but this one was hands down the best Ive ever used. It didnt disintegrate my tip like others, and immediately put a good tin finish on the tip.
