Completed my list of essentials, for my up and coming project with printed circuit boards of the great Chrysler Town Country 96 they are suffering from under engineering electrical and electronic problems that cause the junkyards of America to be full of these vehicles long before their time. Thank God I have the expertise with the right equipment to affect repairs. After using this tinning compound I am happy to report it is the best I have ever used especially for intricate work. No peskie blobs to deal with on very small circuit board connections.

Ive done many a soldering job on printed circuit boards and small electronic projects over decades and never used Tip Tinner. Now that I have used on my large soldering tip I am very impressed on how easy and quickly I get a shinny soldering tip that ready to melt solder. I am so impressed with this product I can recommend it without hesitation. I am hooked I will always have Tip Tinner in my solder box.

My badly oxidized soldering iron took to this like magic! Seriously. Magic. 1) Heat up badly oxidized soldering iron. 2) Drag/roll the heated tip on surface of the material inside. 3) Be amazed as it re-tins the tip of the iron. Since Im using lead-free fine pitch solder, the tip is prone to oxidizing. :( But with this tip tinner nearby, I just re-wet the tip and all is good.

No one that solders with a iron should be without this.Old school people will not be caught dead without tinning the tip of their iron first.

Not a lot to say on this one. Its a small, but helpful item that does its job well. Thank you!

brush the crud off the iron tip and stick it into the tip tinner. It melts instantly and leaves the tip ready to solder. for small wires or to tin a wire, the tinning of the tip often is enough to do the job even without adding solder.

This tinning paste works perfect, however, for the money, you dont get very much. If you look carefully at the description, it only contains 20 grams of product or .8 oz. The container is 1.5 inches diameter. Dont get me wrong, its not very much but it works great.

I mean, Im not, but I just did 29 pins on a quarter sized board when I used to have things that looked like the blob when frozen and in agony when I was trying to solder two 12 gauge wires together so.... This, chipquick solder and reading some instructions helped. Oh, one of those heiko copper things, but I still havent decided if I liked that or the sponge better. If you are having trouble soldering anything, and you are not yelling (to the dismay of your significant other) I AM A SOLDERING NINJA! I suggest accessorizing with any and all of those (and a fan/smoke eater) cause while Im generally a fan of being cheap that stuff makes a world of difference in soldering.
