Tineco A11 Hero Cordless Lightweight Stick Vacuum Cleaner, 450W Motor for Ultra Powerful Suction Handheld Vac for Carpet, Hard Floor & Pet

In a good way, but not what you are thinking. My Dyson DC44 and DC35 have been slowly failing over the past few months to the point where I decided that I needed to replace them. I initially considered the Dyson V11 (too expensive) and the older Dyson V7 mainly because I still have a couple of working Dyson DC31s and hoped to reuse various accessory attachments, batteries and chargers. On Amazon there were a number of other cordless vacuums from companies I never heard of around the same price as the Dyson V7 but Tineco seemed like a more established company. I figured that I can buy a new current model Tineco A11 Hero+ (which includes various attachments and a second battery) for around the same price as an older model refurbished Dyson. I received the first Tineco A11 Hero+ on 21 November 2019 and after initial tests decided to buy a second one on 27 November 2019. The vacuum performance is significantly better that my Dysons in that it sucks up more fine particles/dust. Although the floor attachment bristles dont seem any stiffer than the Dysons, it seems to vacuum up more carpet fibers. Im not sure if it picks up more hair than the Dysons (maybe more of it is collected within the chamber as opposed to being wrapped around the floor attachment roller. I use the MAX setting since I see no reason not to as the two batteries are sufficient to vacuum everything that needs to be cleaned. Using the the mini power brush on the sofa cushions I was able to extract an amazing amount of fine dust, most of which covered the pre filter. I dont remember using the Dyson mini power brush on the sofa in the past but I have never seen the same amount of fine dust particles on the Dyson either. The Tineco batteries dont seem to last as long as the Dyson batteries which may be due to the higher suction power and possibly faster floor attachment rotation but since it comes with two batteries that are easily changed, this isnt a problem. I always ran the Dysons at Max power too and a single battery always lasted for the cleaning session. I have replaced the Dyson batteries in the past with higher amperage compatible batteries but I never needed to swap batteries while cleaning. I did not see any Tineco compatible batteries on Amazon other than the ones sold by Tineco. It would have been nice if the Hero came with the higher capacity Master battery. The only Tineco downside, for me, is that you must use the wall mount holder to charge the batteries. With the Dysons, the charger plugs into the vacuum which makes it convenient to take the vacuum and charger on road trips. I dont plan on taking the Tineco wall mount and charger on a road trip due to the large size/bulk. The Tineco has more filters (mesh filter, pre-filter, and HEPA exhaust filter) compared to my Dysons (1 exhaust filter) so it takes more time to clean the Tineco compared to the Dysons. For the Dyson, I would empty the dustbin over a waste basket and use a shop vac to clean the dustbin and lid. Next, I would detach the dustbin and vacuum the dustbin and the motor unit intake area. Next, I would open the rear and then vacuum the other side of the unit and the exhaust filter. Sometimes I would remove the exhaust filter and vacuum the other side of the filter and the motor area if it looks dirty. For the Tineco, I would remove the pre-filter over a waste basket and vacuum it rather than using the cleaning tool that comes with it. This is the messiest part due to the fine particles caked around the pre-filter. Next, I would empty the dustbin over the waste basket and vacuum the lid and chamber before removing the plastic/metal mesh filter and vacuuming that part. I also detach the dustbin from the motor unit and vacuum it and the motor housing before putting everything back together. Lastly, I remove the HEPA filter and vacuum it although it seems like nothing gets past the intake filters (mesh filter and pre-filter). The Tineco Multi-tasker Power Brush is easier to clean compared to the Dyson power brushes. Its not clear if this is because more hair gets sucked into the dustbin rather than wrapped around the roller or if it doesnt pick up hair as well as the Dyson. For the Dysons I use a curved utility knife (similar to a carpet knife) to cut the hairs wrapped around the floor attachment rollers and then pull off any remaining hairs/fibers caught within the roller bristles. The Tineco comes with a tool cut the hairs but Im used to using the utility knife and will continue to use it. The Tineco floor tool has LEDs which the Dyson lacks. Although the Dyson DC35 and DC44 are not totally unusable, I am glad I bought the Tineco A11 Hero+ because they perform a much better job of cleaning. It didnt make sense to buy a pair of older Dyson V7 nor Tineco A10 and I couldnt justify the cost of buying a pair of Dyson V11s or Tineco Pure ONE S12s. It also didnt make sense to buy a lesser known vacuum from other companies that not as well established. I bought the second Tineco when the price dropped around Black Friday and it seems like the price dropped again (not permanently as most of the drop is due to limited time coupons). I did have a problem with the first Tineco A11 where something was rattling around the inside of the pre-filter but this was quickly replaced by the seller after I contacted them. It would be nice if higher capacity batteries were available along with a small stand-alone charger.

Description claims its good on hardwood floors. This is NOT TRUE. No matter which of the three powers you use, it throws the sand behind the vacuum rather than actually picking it up. If you need a vacuum for hardwood floors to pick up sand from being outdoors, dont buy this unless you have the patience to go back and fourth multiple times over the area you cleaned. The sand gets blown behind the cleaning head, and it takes multiple passes to pick it up. It wastes my time.

Well engineered and quality built! 100% pleased! Low speed (quiet) does the whole deal with excellent suction pickup on everything. So convenient. Light and easy to use. Long run time. We APPRECIATE this machine! Bought on Amazon for best price and return policy.

I did a lot of searching for stick vacuums and read a lot of reviews. This one came up several times as an affordable alternative to a dyson. After putting it together and charging it, I took it for a spin. I have hardwood floors through out with a few area rugs. It picks up every bit of dirt and misc items on my floors no problem and cleaned the rugs with ease. The proof is in the container, so much dirt and hair pulled up. It is light weight and easily cleaned 4 rooms in about 10 minutes. I am really happy I purchased and my life got that much better :) Also, this is just a regular review not paid. I feel it would be helpful for those people looking for a good stick vacuum to not get the run around.
