> 3 dayI’ve now had the Hero since July. I use mostly on hardwood floors but do have carpets in the bedrooms and area rugs throughout. I love the light that comes on automatically when the vacuum is in use. It comes with three speeds so you change with the touch of a button on the go. If you have a larger room or want to do multiple rooms at once without stopping, there is also a clip that will hold it in the on position until you return the clip to its original position. One thing that made me up front buy over the other vacuum options available were the accessories included. I love the wall hanger! Keeps the vacuum charged and nicely displayed and easy to remove quickly to pick up something you noticed on the fly. You can choose how to use. Whether on the floor, the furniture, the curtains, there are many possibilities for the Hero really throughout the entire home. It is important to clean the filters regularly as the user manual recommends. It also tells you how to do it. I did not do so and I experienced some loss of suction. After quickly realizing my issue, I put in the extra filter while washing and drying the other out completely. This did help bring that suction back so keep up on maintaining the cleanliness of the filters. During this time I did reach out to customer service and WOW! I have purchased thousands of items over the years and also have been in customer service in the past. I can tell you, Tineco goes above and beyond to ensure their customers know 1) you as a customer are valued and heard. 2) Tineco is there to assist you with anything from video directions because you’re more visual to answering questions that maybe aren’t asked by others. If you appreciate great value, great customer service and included accessories to clean your whole house and even your car, buy this vacuum. You won’t regret it!

> 3 dayI was super skeptical of these cordless vacuums at first and waited so long to buy. I WISH I HADNT! I LOVEEEE THIS THING!!! We have a traditional pet hair Shark vacuum that is pretty good, but its such a pain to daily vacuum plug in, move plug, reel up, put back in back of closet, etc. that I dont use it as much as I should. I was worried about suction power of pet hair and such with these smaller vacuums...this thing is awesome. It actually sucks up our aerial rug in the living room on the highest power...our regular vacuum doesnt even do that. 1) its so light it feels almost like a toy, but its very well made and very sturdy. the design allows ease of vacuuming under things, extending, etc. I even used it to clean our ceiling fans the other day and it worked so well!!! Its SO LIGHT!! 2) the design is GREAT. The attachments are very simple to remove and replace and even have a place to snap in on the base which is excellent considering these often get lost if kept elsewhere. I have a relatively small laundry room...the thing is so low profile that it easily mounted in and plugged In with my washing machine and doesnt interfere with anything space wise. 3) very easy to empty canister. Even though its small (we have a LOT of pet hair), its so simple to empty that its not a hassle emptying more times than a traditional vac. 4) so, so amazing to just grab and clean up daily accumulated crumbs and hair and hang back on the base....I never imagined this could be so easy and quick. 5) As I was using for the first time I vacuumed probably 1/2 of the house on the lowest power (before I realized there were 3 power levels) and was super impressed...picked up all the crumbs and SUPER cleaned the rug, which I realized was actually gross with hair and such that our regular vac wasnt picking up?? Then I witness power level 3.....geez. Talk about insane suction. We dont have any high pile carpet, but I would imagine level 3 would do great for that. 6) I REALLY wish I would have purchased sooner. I was telling my mom about it last night and thought, Ill just bring it to her so that she can try it out....its lighter than my handbag (lol) and fit in the front seat of my car and I just carried it in with the pup and let her try it. She has a powerhouse Dyson but was super impressed and is ordering one today because of ease of use!!

> 3 dayI have a Dyson handheld vacuum that runs out of battery power before I complete my downstairs. I love my Dyson it is very powerful, I use it daily. There are some special additions that Tineco has that I enjoy. Pros: -Headlight, I can see all the dust and dog hair that I need to vacuum. -Lays a little flatter than the Dyson. I can get under my entire sofa, bed and bookshelf. -2 batteries, I can vacuum my entire house without running out of charge. -Able to clean all the filters easily. They twist and pull right out so that you can really dump everything out. You can do this every time you vacuum if you like. -Quiet -Perfect for wood and tile. It also does a decent job on small rugs. -Attachments fit nicely on the battery charger that can be mounted on the wall. -Comes with more attachments than Dyson Cons -Tineco’s quiet make me think it isn’t as powerful as the Dyson. It doesn’t suck as much out of my carpet as the Dyson does -Doesn’t fluff the carpet like Dyson I think this is the perfect vacuum for hard surfaces. You can easily pick up dog/human hair, dust, retainer rubber bands, etc. The light is one of my favorite features that really helps get my house clean. I can see any little spot I missed and know it is hair and dust free with one pass. If you have carpet I would get a Dyson instead. You may have to wait for it to charge again to complete your home, and there is no light but it will do a great job.

> 3 dayIn a good way, but not what you are thinking. My Dyson DC44 and DC35 have been slowly failing over the past few months to the point where I decided that I needed to replace them. I initially considered the Dyson V11 (too expensive) and the older Dyson V7 mainly because I still have a couple of working Dyson DC31s and hoped to reuse various accessory attachments, batteries and chargers. On Amazon there were a number of other cordless vacuums from companies I never heard of around the same price as the Dyson V7 but Tineco seemed like a more established company. I figured that I can buy a new current model Tineco A11 Hero+ (which includes various attachments and a second battery) for around the same price as an older model refurbished Dyson. I received the first Tineco A11 Hero+ on 21 November 2019 and after initial tests decided to buy a second one on 27 November 2019. The vacuum performance is significantly better that my Dysons in that it sucks up more fine particles/dust. Although the floor attachment bristles dont seem any stiffer than the Dysons, it seems to vacuum up more carpet fibers. Im not sure if it picks up more hair than the Dysons (maybe more of it is collected within the chamber as opposed to being wrapped around the floor attachment roller. I use the MAX setting since I see no reason not to as the two batteries are sufficient to vacuum everything that needs to be cleaned. Using the the mini power brush on the sofa cushions I was able to extract an amazing amount of fine dust, most of which covered the pre filter. I dont remember using the Dyson mini power brush on the sofa in the past but I have never seen the same amount of fine dust particles on the Dyson either. The Tineco batteries dont seem to last as long as the Dyson batteries which may be due to the higher suction power and possibly faster floor attachment rotation but since it comes with two batteries that are easily changed, this isnt a problem. I always ran the Dysons at Max power too and a single battery always lasted for the cleaning session. I have replaced the Dyson batteries in the past with higher amperage compatible batteries but I never needed to swap batteries while cleaning. I did not see any Tineco compatible batteries on Amazon other than the ones sold by Tineco. It would have been nice if the Hero came with the higher capacity Master battery. The only Tineco downside, for me, is that you must use the wall mount holder to charge the batteries. With the Dysons, the charger plugs into the vacuum which makes it convenient to take the vacuum and charger on road trips. I dont plan on taking the Tineco wall mount and charger on a road trip due to the large size/bulk. The Tineco has more filters (mesh filter, pre-filter, and HEPA exhaust filter) compared to my Dysons (1 exhaust filter) so it takes more time to clean the Tineco compared to the Dysons. For the Dyson, I would empty the dustbin over a waste basket and use a shop vac to clean the dustbin and lid. Next, I would detach the dustbin and vacuum the dustbin and the motor unit intake area. Next, I would open the rear and then vacuum the other side of the unit and the exhaust filter. Sometimes I would remove the exhaust filter and vacuum the other side of the filter and the motor area if it looks dirty. For the Tineco, I would remove the pre-filter over a waste basket and vacuum it rather than using the cleaning tool that comes with it. This is the messiest part due to the fine particles caked around the pre-filter. Next, I would empty the dustbin over the waste basket and vacuum the lid and chamber before removing the plastic/metal mesh filter and vacuuming that part. I also detach the dustbin from the motor unit and vacuum it and the motor housing before putting everything back together. Lastly, I remove the HEPA filter and vacuum it although it seems like nothing gets past the intake filters (mesh filter and pre-filter). The Tineco Multi-tasker Power Brush is easier to clean compared to the Dyson power brushes. Its not clear if this is because more hair gets sucked into the dustbin rather than wrapped around the roller or if it doesnt pick up hair as well as the Dyson. For the Dysons I use a curved utility knife (similar to a carpet knife) to cut the hairs wrapped around the floor attachment rollers and then pull off any remaining hairs/fibers caught within the roller bristles. The Tineco comes with a tool cut the hairs but Im used to using the utility knife and will continue to use it. The Tineco floor tool has LEDs which the Dyson lacks. Although the Dyson DC35 and DC44 are not totally unusable, I am glad I bought the Tineco A11 Hero+ because they perform a much better job of cleaning. It didnt make sense to buy a pair of older Dyson V7 nor Tineco A10 and I couldnt justify the cost of buying a pair of Dyson V11s or Tineco Pure ONE S12s. It also didnt make sense to buy a lesser known vacuum from other companies that not as well established. I bought the second Tineco when the price dropped around Black Friday and it seems like the price dropped again (not permanently as most of the drop is due to limited time coupons). I did have a problem with the first Tineco A11 where something was rattling around the inside of the pre-filter but this was quickly replaced by the seller after I contacted them. It would be nice if higher capacity batteries were available along with a small stand-alone charger.

> 3 dayUpdate to my Update: I emailed customer service in hopes for one last ditch effort- I wanted to love this vacuum still. I did receive a reply within 24 hours asking for the usual model #, proof of purchase date, a video of the issues, etc. In my haste and busy lifestyle I put that on my list of to-dos and didn’t earnestly get this done. I started a hunt for a new vacuum instead as I really needed one that did well on carpets as we have two rooms with thick carpet. I hade given up on this little stick gem. I say gave up, because the problem was really me, not the vacuum! The “battery” would die within 2 minutes of use, even when fully charged or even when the battey was changed out for a alternate battery. The red lights would flash and I assumed it was the vacuum was a dud. I thought I maintained it well- emptied the bin, flushed out clogs in the rollers or in the tubes, but I didn’t clean and wash the upper filter often. THAT was the issue! I sat down and found my manual that explained the error lights and shutting down could be from clogs and have nothing to do with the battery. I did a major cleaning, including washing the filters and leaving it off the charger for 24 hours for everything to dry and re-set and recharged her. Whatya know! She worked like new! I’m ashamed and pleased at the same time. I didn’t expect a clogged filter to behave like a failed battery. So if you’re having “charging” issues do a full maintenance and try again. It may not be your battery at all. This vacuum is great for my mostly tile and hardwood floors. It gets under furniture and tables very well. It’s good for quick spills and stairs. It does a good “once over” on carpets and rugs, but I’d still use a heavy duty vac for carpets for deep cleans and pet hair. I’m giving it 4 stars for the lack of deep carpet cleaning, but it’s not realistic to think a stick vacuum would perform the same. It is a good vacuum and I love having it plugged into it’s wall stand in the hallway where I need it both “out of the way, but always accessible.” Don’t give up too easily on this little vacuum. It’s powerful and reliable if you take care of it and follow the manual and maintain it adequately. Update: After having this for about six months, I hate this vacuum. I even bought a second battery for this so I could switch it out and keep going. As if! It lasts about 5-6 min on a full charge and when I go to switch out to the other battery, it’s never charged! The too sectioned of the charger has an extra port so you can charge the vacuum and the extra battery at the same time, but it doesn’t charge the top one. It’s like you have to charge the vacuum with the battery and then remember to switch out the battery and put the back up one in and charge it again. I don’t know why it can’t charge both at the same time! The tube often gets clogged and requires constant cleaning. I understand that vacuums need constant maintenance, but stopping 3 times for one room is excessive. I’ve begun to hate vacuuming because of the poor performance of this vacuum. For the very high price I expected it to work better. The extra battery was an additional small fortune. I might have well bought a dyson. I regret my purchase. I love my new vacuum!!! I especially love vacuuming my stairs. I’ve never had a stick vacuum and I must say I’ve been missing out! I love that my vacuum is hanging on my wall easily accessible and I don’t have to hunt for a plug and move the plug to every room. I LOVE that it is so light. I feel motivated to use it for the smallest messes because it’s so light and accessible. I confess…I’ve used it on my counters and dinning table to get crumbs with the handheld version. I mean why not? I bought the extra battery pack because I wanted the security of knowing I could keep going if I needed to, but surprisingly I have never used it! The battery lasts well enough to do my downstairs just fine, even on high. I use it every day to do a quick run around to get my entryway and kitchen and where the dogs come in from the doggie door. I do have one complaint though… whom ever designed this did NOT consider left handedness. It’s obnoxious that if I’m using my left hand to vacuum I keep turning it off. The, how-do-I-say, lever? keeps turning off because it’s designed to be held by a right-handed person. You have to be a left handed person to explain but you have to be conscious of the “on” lever when you’re using your left hand. I wish they had a design that would “latch” instead.

Greater than one weekHad it just over a year now. Meh. This is vacuum mainly a convenient way to sweep up dog hair daily and not have to bend down with a shovel (bad back). I do like how the cup is well balanced up top and doesn’t make my wrist sore. I don’t think it’s worth the price though. Comes with a ton of gadgets- but I never use them cuz for suction to really work you have to put it on high - of which you may get 10 minutes before it dies. I can get the staircase rugs done in that time frame, but it doesn’t do a great job, just okay. Definitely easier/lighter than dragging the canister vac, but if i really want the stairs clean, this won’t do it. Again, fine for every day floors on medium power - which gets 20-30 mins. Low setting is useless if you have any pets. Should have returned for a corded stick vac for $100 less on average. Stuck with it now. And just after the return window (of course) it seems the battery won’t stay charged as long. You can buy an extra battery, but it’s not worth even money for a so-so job.

> 3 dayI bought this thinking I could use it for my whole house and I can NOT. Its great for quick pickups around the house and for smaller projects like the car or the couch, or if the dog sheds in the kitchen. However, it is terrible on carpet and rugs. Im keeping it as a quick backup vacuum, the suction is impressive. On high power it dies after 12 minutes, but does run up to 30-40 on low power, which is really all you need for a quick sweep around the house on the hardwood/tile floors.

> 3 dayI have been using a Roomba vac and have loved it. My daughter convinced me to buy this new vac for my new house- said it would blow my mind. She was right. It finds dust bunnies, pet hair and debris from places I didnt know existed! Great suction. The light on the wand is a great addition. Thought I wouldnt like how short the rotatingroller brush is, but in fact the smaller size allows for getting into very small spaces. Lots of attachments. Easy to clean. Wish the charge lasted longer but my shoulder needs a rest after the 30 minutes anyway. Great purchase. Highly recommend. Great price.

> 3 dayGENERAL: Be sure to consider what goal you want to achieve when vacuuming different styles of rugs. Compared to my Dyson DC50 (which is corded, heavy, and bulky), the TINECO A11 can get under and around EVERYTHING. One drawback is the brush head; it doesnt dig as deep into the dense carpets I have, unlike my DC50. With a dog and two people, dander and dust and long dog hairs are most common in what Im cleaning up. Compared to the heavy Dyson, it may only be #slightly# lesser at digging into my carpets. If I was a neat freak like my mom (she has 4 vacuums for a big house, all with their strengths and weaknesses according to what she wants to clean). BATTERY: One battery lasts about 20 minutes to an hour based on how often Im switching between the three modes. For me, thats plenty for my 800SF. Only downside is the charge time; takes about 4 hours to get fully charged, but if I still need to vacuum, Ill take the heavy corded vacuum out and finish with that. ACCESSORIES: The attachments that come with the base A11 are fantastic, especially the small motorized brush. I use that on our couch when I need to get dog hair and stuff off the cushions. DEVICE BEHAVIOR: One thing I noticed is the inverse relationship between the motorized brush heads and suction power. For example, Low Suction allows max brush head RPM, and High Suction steals power from the brush head, reducing its RPMs. For my home, the middle setting for suction gives me a happy balance of both. If I want it to dig deep into the aforementioned carpets, Ill use the Low setting (high brush RPM), then switch to Medium setting to make sure it sucks the disturbed dander out. I went with this vacuum instead of the expensive Dyson Cordless Vacuums. Im extremely pleased with my investment, and would recommend anyone looking for a cordless non-Dyson to try out one of these.
