This torch is awesome! Much better construction than I expected....all metal.

Just used it to obliterate a centipede I saw crawling on the wall as I was getting into bed, just saved me a sound nights sleep.

Ive been using it in the kitchen. It is a serious torch.

This is an excellent product for soldering pipe, but not for searing food after sous vide cooking. Food will get over cooked. Great for toasting hamburger buns! The unit fails in browning meats. THE UNIT DOES NOT CREAT A FOCUSED LONG LIGHT BLUE FLAME WHICH I MUST HAVE IN SEARING MEAT. I will use an iron skillet. I am returning the unit
